Do you believe in astrology?

To make it clear, I don't mean the silly magazine and online casual astrology "news" you read daily, neither that you have a "star sign" (aka what you call your sign "you were born in"), because they are totally incorrect, especially if they are just bullshit made up to toss in one more article...

I mean the deep, serious, highly detailed, REAL astrology, with the planets in the houses and all the angles between the planets and other stars, Dragon's Head, etc...

I also think that real astrology isn't bullshit at all too, because we, humans are as much effected by electric and magnetic energies as animals and plants, just we don't know about it, other than some people sleeping and dreaming differently because of the Moon, females having their Moon cycles (aka period), and the planets and all our environment effect how we behave, their positions how our moods and personalities are...

I think it's important to look out in to outer space.
seriously, I have heard some stuff that's been dead on. Who knows.

I don't really know enough about it to try and make an argument for one way or the other. I think there are always things that won't be able to be explained, and I've heard a few things that I couldn't really say "no way, that's totally bogus," but again, I don't really know enough about it to form a solid opinion.

I don't know enough to make an agreement about it, but I do think it is BS.

I'm deeply connected to astrology and know a fair bit, but wouldn't call myself an astrologist. There are too many times in my life where it's been spot on and not nearly enough to convince me it's wrong or "bunk".

I had a passing interest in it. I've seen enough similarities to make you go "hmmm".

Another idea, if your birthday is in December, you're going to see the year differently than someone born in August. Just food for thought.

Most of the answers above I have a hard time choosing because I am uncertain. I know there has to be some truth to it somehow, scientifically, but I don't know enough about it to say yay or nay, or even say I semi-believe.

The cosmos are interesting and effect everything around us, so why not?

Good point JR! Thanks for that! Not a lot of people think about those things.

I don't really, but it's fun food for thought and I do blame a lot of stuff on my being a typical capricorn.

I love astrology and study it independently. Lots of fun to be had, and lots of things we can all learn. My brain tells me it makes no sense for something like the stars and planets to determine my life, but at the same time, my heart and spirit love the mysticism of it all. ^_^

Hard one. I really don't get involved in it. It can be fun, but I also like to stay away. Now I'm all for the dream dictionaries as my dreams are so extreme and I think mine always have some kind of meaning or help me better understand struggles and stuffs I might be facing. I don't use it much, but sometimes and I don't take it to the extremes.

As for astrology, horoscopes and all, it's just not something I get too interested in. Now some of that stuff I stay away from because it can make me a little paranoid! lOL

Agreed...

"To live and let live..."

I never believe anything just cause someone said it, but also, even the smartest people of the world don't know every every every single thing, so why not to say about something what sounds strange or crazy, "hey, that may be true"...

Not to mention that many times religions found out things waaaaaay sooner than "modern science", and also, maybe religions aren't even what people think to know about them!
See the ancient aliens theory... It is a bit too steep and extreme for my taste though... But who knows... ^^

That sounds mighty interesting! That you came up with December and August exactly...

I mean is it only about December and August or just an example? Am just dying to know if it wasn't an example only, and why! ~wags tail most enthusiastic drooling away excited

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

(I don't do any lately as well... I found out that often it is just better to live life and not try to look behind the curtains... Some things you have to go through, and figure out by yourself how to manage stuff... And when you feel really uncomfortable about it there are so many ways to help you out... Tarot, I-Ching, astrology, dreams... Whatever fits your fancy to find out what's up... ^^)

As I see it, dreams represent what's going on inside you...
They report it how you see things, what you want, what you are afraid of, and sometimes yes, they reveal things like what is gonna happen, and truths about things you wouldn't find out otherwise...
At least as I have experienced so far...

I for example have an amazing sort of dreams, which are to put me into situations I wouldn't have in real life at all, or not likely at the moment...
I have to deal with them, so I pretty much get prepared for something to know my possible reactions, or get to know what to expect, and how I could deal with them... Sometimes I screw up, and awake, I realize what I did wrong...
Fucking amazing!!!

Also, when I try to fix something inside (fears for example), my dreams tell me that though I try to be tuff, but they still bother me immensely...

Not to mention my returning dreams I used to not have at all!
Since I live with my Master I keep on having ridiculous dreams I couldn't have in real life to happen, and they relate back to older times of my life, often things what never happened with me at all!
Like those school dreams that it is the very last day of school ever, and I am late and miss the final exam to finish it, or I don't have time to get dressed good enough for the whole thing of celebrating it with the class and the teachers in the school, stupid shit, they drive me nuts!!!

I do think that such dreams tell me that I could put up with stress and bad things so fantastic that I am just realizing how hard times those were, and now all the stress and frustrations are getting manifested freely in me, I guess as some "scars", and so far I have no idea what it the world I could do with them to get rid of them! ~lol ~sighs

So yeah, your inner world definitely tells you extremely useful stuff if you are open enough and listen to it...

Astrology has always been a method of consoling people who haven't a solid foundation in faith and that are puzzled by coincidence...or they interpret coincidence and random occurrence as divine intervention or worse, fate.
Astrology has never been proven true, it has only been proven that the fortunes or fates given by the so called astrologers do work sometimes.....The same as when you throw darts at a wall with a lot of balloons stuck to it. Eventually, you will pop a balloon with enough trips to the throwing line. Even when the misses, when one just keeps at the throwing line the hits are all that is really heeded because the person being read is only trying to connect with the hits, and worries less of the misses.

Sorry, just what I believe.

Somewhat. I like thinking about the different signs sometimes, and I like reading Rob Brezney's Free Will Astrology. It's the only horoscope I can read.

Astrology, "professional" or not, has no real basis in science what so ever. So... no. Pseudosciences are BS no matter which way you slice it.

Fun, though.

I go back and forth whether or not I believe it. Sometimes it really makes sense, other times it doesn't. For example I don't put too much faith in categorizing people by their horoscopes and saying each has such-and-such traits. I've met people who act the exact opposite as their astrological signs, and those who relate 100%. But sometimes when I hear about moon entering different phases and houses, I can feel the shift in myself and other people I speak to, and it's hard to explain. Then I go and read up about it, and it makes so much sense that I'm weirded out. I'm really interested in it, though, whether or not it's the truth.
