I take the train and it drives me nuts. How do you get to work or school?

Use the bus and cabs in certain situations. I work from home so I don't have to worry about that. Only go out if need be and to appointments for myself and the kids.

I'm looking to move so I can just walk or ride a bike to work. This has always been a dream for me. Being in Michigan and with the Urban sprawl it make it difficult to find this.

I work from home. I like to think it's the best commute ever. But I still have to get in a car to take my kids to daycare so that sort of ruins the whole "roll out of bed and plop in my office chair" aspect of it.

I am scared to drive and have never had a d/l. I usually get rides if I can or take the bus or walk if its close.

40 miles each way a day via car.

two days a week, walk to the bus stop (20 mins), bus to campus, second bus 40 miles, walk 25 mins to job, return the same way, bus to mall, mall to walmart, walmart to mall and then a 20 minute walk home.

I selected the last two because I don't have a real job, but I have a work study job. I just walk across the quad from my dorm the building I work two hours a day at. XD

I live close enough that I really should ride my bike to work, but we dont have bike lanes and I don't think it is safe.

I am a huge bicycling fanatic, so I bike just about everywhere. I don't drive, so if the weather makes it too dangerous I may have to take the bus. That's not often, so for school I'll just bike or (speed)walk.

I drive to the nearest most convenient bus stop, then take the bus the rest of the way to the university.

Busing and walking. I live in LA and have a student pass, best $36 I spend a month.

I've done all of the above within the last 10 years. HATE driving, LOVE working from home, walking and cycling. Public transport can be frustrating, but driving in rotten traffic is infinitely worse.

I'm unemployed since I just moved. Before though, I used to walk or take the bus since I only worked 2 miles away from home.
