Roleplaying-Videos/sit es or book help?

Does anyone know of a really good video or book/site that has great information on ideas or how to get into role playing?? Every time that my wife and I look stuff up, its not very informative or its hard to read. I was wondering if anyone has a really good site that is informative and helpful??? We want to get into it but her and I are treading on new ground with this stuff and its kind of silly for us to try out, we feel weird but we wanna try it lol
