Toy storage: How do you do it?

So I have a few different types of toy pouches. There's the thin pouches, such as the "toy pouch". Then there's the semi-thick pouches, such as the "Eden toy pouch". And then... there's.... the extremely thick, heavily padded pouches, such as the Phallix Pleasure Pouch, or the Xhale pouches that you recieve with their products.

I'm curious as to which toys you keep in which pouches, and what is your criteria? Do you only keep the really expensive glass toys in the expensive, heavily padded pouches? Or do you throw them wherever is convenient? Do you only use pouches for travel, and display your toys all over your home?

Some people prefer their dresser drawers, toy boxes, and even safes! So let us know!

I have saved up probably a million toy pouches over the years. Especially those little cheap ones that come with SSA Glass toys. I use those to conceal toys, rather than to protect. So those pouches usually contain toys that aren't so breakable. Maybe a pocket rocket, silicone, or plastic toy. I hate storing any toys "naked" right next to one another, so that's another use for those cheap pouches.

Pouches like the "Eden Toy Pouch" will hold the more expensive, but not breakable toys. These will maybe hold a hard plastic G-Spot vibe. If I have a glass toy that I'm not too fond of anymore, maybe has a few scratches already and isn't one of my favorites, you'll find them in one of these.

Then, for the Phallix or Xhale pouches... These basically hold all my expensive, most treasured glass pieces. So for instance, my Violet Wonder, Icicles No. 24, Bumpy Fantasy, etc.

I also have toy boxes, and I put the bags into the boxes. I don't go as far as using a safe. That seems a little silly to me, unless I had kids or something.

I keep ours in a safe in our bedroom. My kids cant find them and we dont have to worry about them getting lost. And it also gives me a place to keep papers I dont want to lose it there is ever a fire in the house.

I will definitely use a safe when I have kids, but for now i don't find it necessary. The only person who could "find" my toys is my friends or roommate, and it isn't a big deal. Plus, we move into our new home in August so I wont have to worry at all for a while I do have a safe for my legal documents, but it is definitely full to the brim.

i have mine in a drawer inside my armoire. I have all of them in EF bags, but i should really invest in some padded bags for some of my glass pieces.

We have an antique suitcase and I'm currently working on sewing washable bags for each toy.

That is such a great idea! Very green as well I'll have to start a project like this myself! And the antique suitcase just sounds awesome. I have an antique wooden chest that I was thinking of putting to use, but it's currently in storage right now.

I don't ahve any pouches yet, but I definitely want some. Right now all my toys are in the packaging they came in or just loose in this locking box I have. I'm pretty sure one or two of the toys I ordered today will come in pouches so I'm happy about that. And I want some pouches to keep some of my toys seperate from each other.

Before I joined this site and accumulated a collection of toys, I just tossed the couple I had in my dresser drawer

I keep all of my toys in a pouch of some sort. I don't like my toys touching each other, even if I know it won't hurt them. If a toy doesn't come with a pouch I will buy one for it. Then I put them all in a makeup train case I have, but that is starting to get to be too small so I may need to find another solution soon.

I have the same issue. I first got iffy about toys touching one another when I was in to silicone and jelly toys. That can be a huge problem if your toys are touching one another. But now I do the same with my glass because I don't want them to scratch, get chipped, etc.

We're the ones who built a custom headboard cabinet for (most of) our toys, and the majority of those are either in their original packaging or Ziploc bags in there. We only have 1 glass toy, and it's in our glass-front curio cabinet (as our "trophy dick"), and a couple of more decorative-looking ones are on our dresser. Several toys that we don't use often are still in limbo in a bottom drawer of the dresser.

We don't keep many of them in bags because I tend to forget they're in there if I can't see them, and then we wind up not using the toy for awhile. The only exception is the few that we keep in the car-- they get put in Ziplocs and then "hidden" in a semi-padded bag.

My toys are homeless at the moment - the drawer they used to live in became an official lingerie drawer, so now they live in a big tote bag on the floor. Most of them have little pouches (some pouches contain multiple toys of the same material) but the more I collect toys, the more behind I am on my sewing duties. Sigh. I can't wait until I find the perfect big trunk or case to house all my things properly!

Glad to know we aren't the only ones who keep a toy or two in the car for those "long" drives. Makes the drive so much more fun and entertaining.

We have two boxes for non-plug in toys, one is the Tuti Illuminated box (love it) and the other a standard lockbox from an office supply store. The plug in/rechargeable toys are kept in a box that has a multi-power strip in it so they are always ready to play when we are.

Oh god there is so many threads on this already, but I have no idea where any of them are soo....

My divine playchest should be here in the morning with mimi, right in time for my bday!

Right now I have a bunch of sterilite totes stacked on the top shelf in my closet. I just went through and cleaned my collection out again, I'm starting to fill it with better quality toys so the cheaper ones are getting axed more often.

My lingerie hangs in the closet but I wish Eden had some sort of awesome secret james bond type of lingerie thing, lol.

Then my floggers and paddles are in random drawers and places in my room along with my fairy wand and little cock rings and gadgets here and there.

That is such a great idea. The headboard cabinet sounds like... amazing. I have to tell my fiance to do this when we get our home.

I just talked to my roommate's boyfriend's sister today (she went to high school with me) and we were all kind of getting into a convo about sex toys. She asked me how I stored mine, and I told her I'm a big fan of pouches within boxes. I also color code my boxes because everything in the pink box is made of jelly or other bad materials. We basically dump the pink box into the trash every couple months.

Anyway, she told me that her husband took one of those boxes that you find in the back of trucks, made of stainless steel, and turned it into the ultimate toy box. He had one that they never used, so he cleaned it up, added compartments, and gave it to her for her birthday! I was soooo jealous. I saw some pictures of it from her phone and I just think that is such an awesome idea.

Most of mine are in shoe storage cases with plastic see thru covers, under the bed. The toys themselves are in Zip Lock bags. It works as I just pull out the containers to just find the right toy for the moment.
Lingerie, harnesses and BDSM stuff are hanging in the closet.
My Hitachi is in my nightstand table with the long cord hanging out the drawer.

I use pouches for glass, wood, ceramic or metal toys because they can scratch or chip/dent, and that's no fun. I haven't been very good at getting the really nice pouches all the time, tending to make do with what I have (socks work well). The rest of my toys are generally silicone, so those just go naked in whatever bag/box/drawer I'm using.

I used to toss the hard plastic toys in as well, but I scratched an Aneros by doing that so now I'm a bit more careful with those as well. Fortunately a little fine sandpaper buffed out the scratch (though now my Nexus Neo has replaced the Progasm as my #1 "Aneros style" massager).

I have far too many toys for a safe, but for privacy any midweight locking case should work - just don't get one of those "you can open it with a paperclip, screwdriver, or any antique store key" ones if you're trying to keep kids out.

I totally forgot to mention that. I used to use plastic bags as well if it's a jelly-like toy. I just realized over the years that some toys actually start to somewhat... egh. I'm at a loss for words. But they sort of start to stick with the bag, or transfer colors. It's like a chemical reactions. But it's far better than storing them naked next to one another.

I actually recently found out that if you are using tupperware-style materials for storage boxes, such as garage boxes, plastic shoe boxes, etc. you should always drill like 10 holes in the top.

This only applies for storing porous toys since the moisture builds up.

That makes sense. We have some TPR and TPE toys that will start to "sweat" (or something) if we don't open their Ziplocs often enough.

I only have one pouch for mine, and that's what my Don Wands rainbow mega nubby came in, and that's where I keep said rainbow nubby! However, right now, my toys are unfortunately stored in ziplock baggies (individually) and stored in an old toy chest (now a blanket chest) at the foot of my bed. And my creams and cleaners and massage oils are kept inside a big hollow book in the chest as well.

I'd like to clean out the chest and keep a nice toy box of some kind in there where I can separate everything, but I just don't have the motivation for that just yet...
