What? Eden doesn't sell those.

Actually, Eden does sell Jimmyjane Chroma, and a lot of other JJ vibes. They don't actually state what the vibrator is on that other site..

EF just doesn't sell the "artist etched collection." For good reason, I cannot imagine dropping $1620 (on sale for 1300$ this month, big discount -cough - ) for the same vibrator but with different colors and etchings on them.

I mean, especially with such a low-power.

That is not rechargeable.

I feel like that is just flushing money down the toilet!! WOW.

The entire point of that price tag is specifically the art, not the vibrator itself, regardless of power or charging capability. This issue is reinforced by the fact that the six vibrators are functionally identical instead of the set containing a variety of different kinds of vibrators. Each set of vibrators comes in boxed collector's packaging and they're numbered. I don't see why anyone who didn't collect Jamie Hewlett's work would even consider buying the set. An average consumer spending $1650 just on some vibrator that happens to have some etching is crazy compared to a fan spending $1650 on a "collectible" that happens to have the form of a vibrator, for whatever artistic reason. Of course, I've seen rich people spend more than $1650 on a pair of shoes or on lunch so the value of $1650 is relative, but I still wouldn't expect a rich person to buy this set nonchalantly without having a specific desire for the artwork.

I'd be surprised if any fans who bought the set actually used the vibrators instead of leaving them in a display case to remain in mint condition. That would be like standing hours in line to pay $200 for some limited edition plastic action figure at Comic-Con in order to open the box and play with the toy. Heck, even some Nike shoes are sold for artistic design and aren't intended for actual wear.

If $1650 for vibrators seems crazy, it's more common to see an art gallery charge much more money for some hand-painted vinyl Dunny figurine.

lol, no. If I had $1,650 to splurge with I'd get myself a makeover before a vibrator that may or may not work for me.

No Way! I'd buy a lot of different kinds of vibes if i was gonna spend that much on them... or I'd use it for something besides a vibrator.

Assuming I had the money... still no. Doesn't make much sense to spend that much on six of the same item. With that kind of cash, I could get a bunch of items off of my wishlists instead.

I wholeheartedly agree!! Especially when it's such a slim, simple type of toy.

That is a ton of money to spend on different colors of the same vibrator. It's cool to look at though.

Even if I had a million dollars, I wouldn't shell out the cost for this set.

In this case, you really are paying for the artwork rather than the vibrator itself, which I find... rather pointless. I understand getting one of these if you are a fan of this particular artist, which I'm not (there are other more attractive Western cartoon styles in my opinion), but not an entire set unless you really love to collect them. And then not even use them on top of it, being metallic paint and all? Just... completely not worth it, in my humble opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I love and appreciate artwork to the fullest, but to me, making character designs and prints for toys that are supposed to be enjoyed for more than aesthetics alone purely doesn't make sense to me. They are two mediums that don't do much for each other but look pretty. Now, if these were silicone toys that had grooves of the characters or their prominent features were used to give a unique texture, that would be another story, but they don't and are there only to be visually appealing on a toy, and likewise, an "art form" that is significantly more functional in nature, and ultimately, purpose.

I'd rather spend the money on a ticket to see my Master in England - he's warm, has fingers and tongue and other body parts, he can tie me up, talk dirty, and spank me. And even without sex, he's damned fun to talk with and a marvelous traveling companion.

Does the set do any of that?

Who says that these toys are supposed to be enjoyed for more than aesthetics? If they're collectors' items, then that's what they are regardless of form. The concept isn't unusual: some action figures are released as limited editions and collectors will keep them mint and unopened although their form suggests that they should be played with by children. Some comic books have limited edition covers; heck, for some issues, collectors will leave a first edition print in mint condition and purchase a later edition to read. I've seen people buy two copies of a book at a book signing so one can get signed and stay near-mint and the other one can be read. If you want more extravagance, some people collect limited-run Nike shoes and don't wear them. Of course, some people collect cars and keep them safe in a personal show room rather than drive them.

I think it's kinda cool to consider sex toys a collectors item, but at the same time it makes no sense at all! Why have musical artist sign them? Why not famous porn stars or people in the industry. But yeah, sems a little out there in every direction you look at it.

Gah, I don't care if the artwork comes to life and materilizes as The Doctor (complete with TARDIS) in my room. I'd never shell out that much money for a toy. I think that money would be better spent hopping on a plane to another country for a bit. Hell, I think I could get a full-on bondage/dungeon room bed set with money to spare at that price.

WTF NO! That's stupid. If they packaged all the forms as a set or something I guess I could see that, though I'd probably not spend the cash even so. But still, 6 chromas in different colors? Who needs 6 of the same toy?
