I voted "bitch, say what?" because I don't really understand the question. This coating doesn't make the toy impervious to microbes according to what you stated, it makes it impervious to antimicrobial agents? I'm not sure what the function of that would be?

I only buy non-porous toys anyway, so I'm well satisfied that bacteria will not be able to colonize my toys. I think I would actually prefer *not* to put cresols in my vagina, to be ... more
Exactly my thoughts. Cresols, for example, can be harmful in great enough quantities. I'm happy enough just having a toy made from an entirely non-porous material, and just giving it a thorough cleaning after using.

A simply amount of 50¢ is far, far worth paying for having a safer toy.

Yes, seems like a small price for a great benefit

I would, but would that risk disturbing the natural bacteria inside of a vagina or anus? Vaginas are pretty sensitive to things like that, I'd be worried unless there were some studies proving otherwise. If it WAS safe, then HELL yes I'd pay $.50 for that!

The only one of those chemicals that comes near my toys is Sodium hypochlorite (the active ingredient in laundry bleach) and I only use it on nonporous toys like pure silicone and hard plastic. I have used it on the PVC pieces of the Wahl, but I haven't done that in a while. I have foaming Triclosan!

But, yes, I probably would, as some of these chemicals are used in the manufacturing process. I would hope they aren't using cresols in my toy manufacture. Benzene is nasty stuff. Lysol contains cresols (the liquid in the bottle, I'm not sure about the spray) and it used to be advertised for use as a vaginal douche.

This.

Are you asking if we want our toys to be compatible with those medical grade cleaners or what? And I don't even use any of those to begin with.

I don't even really know what that stuff is. If someone explained it to me, I'm sure it would be a very attractive selling point, especially for 50 cents.

I'm willing to pay much more than fifty cents for that assurance! It's only fifty cents, and it seems to be going a long way. Of course I'd pay it.
