Julia Ann: Hardcore by Wicked Pictures - review by Waterfall

FRONT COVER:
On the cover of this film, you will find Julia Ann with a seductive dress in black and white. Under the title there is a little list of the types of sex you can find such as anal, double penetration, and interracial. If it weren't for these words, you might be able to get away with describing this as an "R" rated film.

BACK COVER:
The back cover gives some information about Julian Ann's break from her norm by filming a more "hardcore" porn than she has done in the past and gives some previews of the stars you will see her working with. There are also some nice screen shots from each of the six scenes. I have to say, after looking at the shots I was definitely ready to watch this one as soon as I got it open.

The menus for this one are pretty easy to navigate and include options such as: Play movie, scene selection, special features, and setup.

OVERVIEW:
This movie begins with Julia Ann explaining that for most of her time working in this industry, she was in a committed relationship and passed on a few experiences. Now that she is single and can do what she wants there are a few things she has in mind. This is basically the only story to this porn. Before each scene she comes on and gives a 2 minute segue into what type of sex scene is coming next and what stars you will see with her. I like this because it helps eliminate some of the awkward acting that is in some adult films and gets to the sex pretty quickly. Each scene focuses on a type of sex act or a "porn" category.

Scene 1: Interracial with Sean Michaels- This scene takes place in a bright, white room and involves oral sex and vaginal sex in a variety of positions.

Scene 2: Anal with Manuel Ferrara- The entire scene occurs on a rotating bed in room that gives off a more secretive and "bad" vibe. Before engaging in anal sex, the couple spends some time on oral sex, some spanking/rough play, and vaginal sex.

Scene 3: This scene is what Julia calls a "blow bang". I had never heard the term before, but it consists of Julian Ann and four males. She is getting "banged" by one while "blowing" the other three, so the term makes more sense to me now.

Scene 4: DP- (Eric Matterson and Randy Spears)For this one, Julia Ann is a nurse in a psychiatric unit and goes in to a room with two male patients who are in straight-jackets. She proceeds to perform oral sex on both of them and then has vaginal sex with one at a time before allowing them both to have her at the same time. The one thing that bothered me about this scene was the fact that the double penetration part is not for a long enough amount of time.

Scene 5: POV- This scene is shot from the point of view of the male star for a good portion and also from the other cameras. It gives a nice close up view of all the action.

Scene 6: Girl on Girl, with some toys and BDSM play- (Gia Paloma and Roxy Deville)Three girls are involved in this scene. One is the dominant of the three, while the other two (one of which is Julia Ann) are caged or tied and gagged. Once they are released the two girls dominate Julia using toys.

CAMERA WORK:
The first two sex scenes made me feel like I was watching a dream. This has a lot to do with the filters and lighting that was selected. Although it is a little annoying and at times made things look less clear (although maybe it is my TV), it did not ruin the scenes for me.
However, other than this, the cameras offer a variety of views so that some things can be seen up close and others are watched from further away.
