Where the Boys aren't 18 by Vivid - review by BrokeNHorny

This movie ended up being really hard to give a score to. It had a lot going for it, but it falls just short of a four star movie. It certainly tried admirably, and it's a shame it wasn't just that little bit better.

The one thing you can't count against this film is its pedigree. It is the 18th in a long line of all girl films, and it has nearly every star that they could scrounge up. Included in this film are Tera Patrick, Briana Banks, Lexie Marie, Monique Alexander, Tawny Roberts, Lyndsey and Lacey Love, Savanna Samson, Mercedez, Stefani Morgan, and Lanny Barby. Tera and Briana are featured heavily, each with a large amount of screen time.

The bonus features are stored on a separate disk, mainly due to the large number of bonus scenes. Aside from the usual cast bios and behind the scenes feature, they decided to include a bonus scene from each of the previous “Where the Boys Aren't” films. This ends up being 17 bonus scenes in all, which is impressive by any standard. Unfortunately, the film quality of the earlier installments is not quite what we're used to in the 21st century. The last few are salvageable, and its nice to see old content getting a second lease on life.

I think the thing that killed the four star rating was the utter lack of variety. In an all girl feature, I realize that you're more limited in the things that you should expect to see, but it really was noticable. To illustrate my point, this film includes the “Positions Room” that I have lauded in many of my other DVD reviews. It breaks the movie up into only the selected positions, and cuts out everything else. In this, there are four different positions to choose from. First is pussy eating, with nearly an hour of content. The other three add up to maybe two minutes. This is not an exaggeration, there really is an hour of pussy eating and not really much else. There is some fingering peppered in as well, but mostly oral. This may be a preference thing, but there is also a surprising lack of sex toys. There is a very nice scene at the end with a multi-ended dildo, but overall not too much. There is a small bit of anal, literally in the last 30 seconds of the film. Also, its great that they hired such a big cast, but with mostly blondes, it can get really hard to tell them apart. What I'm trying to say is that there is much ado about a lot of the same thing.

The setting for the film is supposedly the French Riviera, but I really didn't see anything that validated this claim. The entire film takes place poolside at a resort, which could very well have been in New Jersey for all that is shown. Choosing a place like France, one would think that they were trying for a more serious tone, but I really didn't get that vibe. The music was cheesy, standard fare for a movie almost entirely about women eating each other out though.

Overall, not a bad movie, but not all that it could have been. If you love girl on girl with a major in oral and a minor in everything else, this is your film. Otherwise, keep looking.
