Some Day My Prince Will Come (and so Will I)

Overall, this is a vibrator that won't make it into my bed stand for easy access, but it will get occasional use when I want a warm-up or foreplay toy. The reason why is simple: when you only have one AA battery, there's only so much power that little vibrator can give!

Use

This is a small vibrator at 4" long and roughly 1/2" in diameter. It's clearly meant for foreplay and external stimulation only, and it's not at all meant for anal play. I personally did not find internal use of this vibrator to be pleasurable due to its small size and buzzy vibrations, but some may find it stimulating. It is waterproof, as advertised, as long as you screw on the cap tightly; so that does make it a useful travel vibrator: small, not too loud, and waterproof.

I think this vibrator would work great for beginners or for people looking to add a fun and cheap toy, but advanced users or those who demand high quality from their toys won't be impressed. For this reason I consider this a beginner or gag gift toy since it's not really a bad vibrator ... it just pales in comparison to what else is available for a comparable price.

Material / Texture

A faint plasticky odor and chemical taste could be detected when I opened the package and took out the vibrator, so I washed it first with soap and warm water.

While not stated on the packaging, The Prince is made of what feels like "soft" touch nonporous plastic material, and the fake diamonds are also plastic. The texture is nice, and the entire vibrator's shaft is smooth and gently bulged at the last half of the shaft. However, it doesn't add any extra stimulation, and I would not dare try to use the plastic rhinestones for texture since they remind me a lot of the kind I used in grade school to add sparkle to class projects. But they do seem pretty well attached to the vibrator, as picking at them with my nails revealed.

This vibe's texture is definitely fine for beginners, who may appreciate the velvety plastic.
    • Light odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The design has a nice shape to it, being lightly tapered so that the tip is somewhat bulged with a thinner shaft. In a larger vibrator, it'd actually make a noticeable difference that would feel good. However, this is a small, firm plastic vibrator that is slightly longer than my middle finger and about the thickness of my thumb—which for me, personally, is too small and too thin. For this reason I'd say The Prince is great for beginners who don't want something that looks like it could double as a weapon. It's also very discreet, being so small you can easily hide or travel with it.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This is a pretty simple vibrator to figure out: simply pop in the battery, screw on the cap, and twist to your left to adjust the intensity of the vibrations, which are located in the tip. One other thing I'd like to note is that the base of the vibrator, which you turn to control the speed, has little rhinestones set into it. These don't do a whole lot to add to the aesthetics, in my opinion, and they make holding the vibrator a little uncomfortable by digging into your fingers.

I have a pretty strong vibration tolerance, so for me the only setting that worked was the highest, which is also the loudest (about the same as a cell phone's vibration). The vibe provided a pretty strong level of vibration despite only having one AA battery. At the lowest setting, the vibrator is nearly inaudible and feels "fluttery" when placed against the skin. Either way, though, the power this Prince packed wasn't enough for me to climax.

The Prince is waterproof and pretty easy to hold onto as well. In this instance, the rhinestones do have a use by providing some texture.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

This 4" vibrator is very easy to store and care for, being that it is made of plastic and is small enough to fit in the palm of my hand. I could probably hide this vibe in my pocket because I've had pocket rockets that were of a similar size. The nonporous, phthalate-free plastic means the vibrator is safe to use with all kinds of lube and to share living quarters with other toys that have different material compositions. Since it's waterproof, I tend to just give The Prince a quick wash with soapy water after each use.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The packaging for The Prince looked pretty typical for what you'd expect when you think "cheap sex toy": namely, naked blonde women and the word "sexy" splashed all over the paper box.

Here's a picture:

Being manufactured in China, it also had plenty of slight "Engrish"-sounding claims that provided some entertainment value: "Diamond, the symbol of Dignity! Black shaft with dazzling rays of the diamond shows the power and the royalty!" But then, I'm sure if I tried to write sexy-sounding advertisements in Chinese that I'd come up with a lot worse.

Information is limited to just stating that one AA battery is used and listing the usual "novelty use"-only claims. Besides that, there were plenty of questionable claims about the sexiness of the product as well as about toy care: "Wash product thoroughly before and after each use." (So far, I agree.) "We recommend the use of a toy cleaner. Such as safe suds." (You mean washing it?)
    • Not discreet
Follow-up commentary
I still don't really like this little vibrator. The power output just was not enough for me, and it's now vanished somewhere at the back of my drawer. I'll probably only use it when I travel and don't want to risk losing or damaging any of my favorite toys.
