Marble swirl candle by Bell-A-Roma candles - review by ~LaUr3n~

I really love candles, but hate buying them so I decided to get one off of eden. Most of the candles on the site are massage candles or high priced. This one is a decent size and was a good price so I snatched it up. Apparently, I got the last one because the product was immediately discontinued. I decided to review it anyways because while it wasn't the best candle, at this price and size, I would keep buying more and more of these. While the candle claims to have aromatherapy properties, I didn't notice any, but it did look and smell nice enough.

The candle is made of beeswax and is VERY solid. No matter how hard I squeeze it between my fingers, it doesn't change shape at all. I knew this was a good thing because it would burn slowly. The candle is pretty thick also. It is a 3 x 3 inches of a cylinder shape. I consider this to be a decent sized candle.

This candle is labeled as pine. It doesn't however really smell like pine. I love woodsy smells such as saddle wood and I hoped this would smell at least a little like that. I was let down. It smells more like soap, kind of like Zest actually. It has a slightly manly musk to it. Even after burning the candle for a few hours, I can't really smell it unless it is within a few feet of me. If I leave the apartment and come back, I notice it though. I like to smell my candles while using them though. This was another down fall. It is good for those who want to look at candles for ambiance but don't necessarily want to be bombarded by their fragrance.

I was really impressed with this candle's length of burning time. I burned it twice for a few hours each and there is not even a 1/4" of an indent in the candle yet. It does burn a bit unevenly though. Instead of it making a circle of pooled melting wax, it made more of an oval shape. I would image that this candle will last around 35-40 hours of burn time.

There is very little packaging to the candle. It comes in a plastic sheeth that can be removed or not before burning. The front has an oval label with Bell-A-Roma written on it and the bottom has some burning instructions. It says to cut the wick down before burning and to of course never leave it unattended while in use.

This candle is supposed to have aromatherapy properties. This particular one is supposed to enhance energy and stamina. I didn't notice either with this. I do believe in aromatherapy and have been affected by it before, but not with this candle.

I am giving this candle 3 stars. It is a great price, a good size, and does have a long burn time. However, I was not crazy about the scent or the fact that it is burning unevenly. I still would buy a lot more of these if they were restocked. I hope that they are or that new candles form this company come out. I would not mind trying them.
