Hot pink! Lime Green! Named after something sweet! Covered in swirls of bumps like little dots of frosting! Visually, this vibe is definitely the opposite of the winter day I took it out of its box.
The Cotton Kandy is an adjustable speed hard plastic vibrator with a wrap of 100% body friendly silicone that's textured with rows of raised dots, each with an antennae-like tip extending out. Think very friendly sea anemone... The tips were a delicious tickle on my labia, although a very light sensation, lost when the vibe is applied with any pressure. The silicone wrapper and hard plastic middle means the vibe has no unpleasant odor, but it also means the toy doesn't have the give and flex of other toys labeled "silicone."
Toys that are 100% silicone can usually be easily cleaned and shared safely, because the silicone is non-absorbing. I recommend being very careful about sharing this vibe, though, because the surface texture makes it hard to clean thoroughly. You could use a condom, of course, but that would defeat the purpose of those little vibrating tips. The vibe is water-proof, which certainly helps with clean-up in addition to its shower/bath/pool capabilities. And always remember that silicone toys must only be used with water-based lubes!
The vibe speed adjusts by twisting the cap, from a light tickle to a fairly strong buzz. It is quite loud at its higher speeds, so be forewarned if you are not in the house alone!
This is also a substantial vibe, larger than it seems in its pictures. The diameter is close to 1 ¾ inches, and 8 ½ inches overall length. If this is your first vibe then:
1. yeah for you!
2. the diameter is about the size of four fingers held closely together, or four fingers and a thumb, if you have small fingers.

While the vibe action of this toy is great, the fact that the surface can't be fully cleaned has definitely diminished its appeal. Some toys are designed for use and visual appeal, and some only for show. The Cotton Kandy is definitely the latter.

This looks like a lot of fun, and it's cute to boot.
It is very cute. The colors are more vibrant than they seem in the picture.
I imagine cleaning this is...quite difficult? I've always wondered about this kind of a texture, though. How does it feel when inserted?
Cleaning was a bit of a challenge - I felt like the usual cleaning wipe or warm water/soap cleaning I do with silicone just wasn't really cleaning it. Finally used the fingernail brush I keep for after-gardening! For me, the vibe is itself is larger than I usually enjoy inserted, which I think is merely the size, not the texture. The little tentacles were fun as ticklish foreplay; inserted, I can't say that I noticed them, or the bumps, at all.
The texture seems a little weird for insertion. It reminds me of the earrings Clair's and Icings sell.
It looks like something out of a Dr.Seuss book. Kinda cute. Good review!

This is so cute and I just loved it upon first sight..but it doesn't sound like it is as cute as I thought. Only two stars, loud, and hard to clean...

This toy look adorable, but the little pricklies make me wonder...I've seen a lot of earrings and bellybutton studs made like that, and do the prickly things ever fall off? That would be my biggest concern! Other than that, great review and this toy is ADORABLE!

When I first saw this I really wanted to try it out, it looks really fun. After thinking about how it could be cleaned, your review confirmed that it isn't easy to clean. No matter how fun a toy is if can't be easily cleaned right then I don't want it anymore. That's too bad.
