The packaging I received was different from the picture, just a simple yellow and green background. The jelly sleeve had ridges instead of nubs, and no lube sample. Also there was a smell of jelly rubber and new plastic (similar to a new shower curtain). That smell faded almost completely in two days.

There are 5 settings on this, slow pulse, medium pulse, fast pulse, medium vibration and very intense “can hardly hang onto the vibe” vibration. The three pulsation settings offer quite different sensations. They were quite good at getting me “warmed up” but not enough to reach an orgasm. The medium vibration setting is quite pleasant and worked well sandwiched betwixt my husband and me during intercourse. The fifth setting was almost too much to bear, which is the way I like it. For me it produced a very quick intense orgasm by itself. I must say though that if you use the fifth setting very long, be prepared to have numb fingers, the Golden Nugget is, no kidding, intense.

The box says that this toy is “whisper quiet” but don’t believe it. It is actually much louder than what I had been expecting. A sheet and a comforter don’t stop the noise at all, but a closed door will.

The wire was 33.5 inches, so it was long enough to not be in the way, but not so long as to lose the control box. I doubt anyone would be able to lose this thing though, as there is a red light on it, a bright red light that blinks in sync with the pulsation settings and is constant with the vibration settings. I must say that the bright blinking red light was quite a distraction and tried to kill the mood until I finally stuffed it under a pillow.

The 9 volt battery that came with the vibe was about dead, and I ended up replacing it right away. I have only had this toy a few days, but have gotten about 4 hours use out of it so far and the vibes are as strong as when I put the battery in it. One note I can’t forget is that this does tend to get hot after 30 plus minutes, but not so much as to burn.

The little jelly sleeve is super stretchy and although it didn’t really do much for added pleasure, it sure makes the vibe easier to hang on to. When pressed between two bodies, the sleeve also helps to prevent the vibe from slipping out of place. When used as a penis sleeve it does add some nice extra stimulation, but I’d rather have it on the Golden Nugget.

Over all, I am very pleased with this toy. The cons are small when compared to the power of this little vibe. I wish I had bought this several years ago. The Golden Nugget is hands-down the best bullet-egg vibe|Golden nugget - Bullet by Topco I have owned.

Well I’ve had this for a month now and while it was a great addition to my sex life, my Golden Nugget|Golden nugget review died on me! I gotta say first off that I gave this thing a run for its money. My average daily use of this thing was 30 minutes for solo play during “nap” time, and about 90 minutes at night with my husband. So in the 30 days I had this I put it through 60 hours of rigorous work, most of which was on the highest setting. Just to show how much I used this little vibe, I’ll let you in on something a tad bit embarrassing. I actually wore the paint off of the tip. It isn’t gold plastic, its black plastic with silver over it that is then painted gold. I thought my husband was going to hurt himself laughing so hard when I told him that I had wore the paint off of it.

I didn’t notice any lost of power or anything weird from it, until it just died. Of course it died right before I was about to finish, but thankfully I was on my third orgasm and not my first. When I removed it from being smashed between us, I looked at it a little closer. It was obvious what was wrong with it. If I wiggled the wire a little where it connected into the egg part it would start vibrating again then go off. So the wire crapped out on us. I’m guessing this was from sandwiching it between us during sex and maybe our bellies would tug on the wire a little when thrusting, at least that’s the only thing I can think of. I was very careful to not put strain on the cord, and stored it carefully.

Another thing I noticed was that the little jelly sleeve turned from clear to an icky yellow. I was careful to clean it before and after each use, but had kept it in a cardboard box, and I’m thinking that had something to do with it. The sleeve also developed a couple little holes in it that look like they would tear easily if not treated gently.

Given the fact that the paint wore off, the sleeve turned an icky color, and the wire gave out on it after one month of use I would bump it down a star. However, I also know how hard I worked this thing, and during that time it never lost its power. I am left wanting to buy another one, but I think I’ll try a few other bullets first then see if I want to come back to this one again. While I had it, I loved it!
