Egg discontinued
by Wet For Her

I want to <3 you...but I can't

I've never had a remote controlled bullet before, and when I saw that this was available for assignment, my mind filled with mental images of elegant nights out at a restaurant, catching a movie, running errands with my partner. All with the remote control in his pocket and the bullet in my panties or in me...

Well, the toy works as promised, but it comes with a few problems that are going to make me leave it at home, rather than take it out with us.

extremely useful review
The packaging for this bullet and remote was minimal. The box was compact, and it didn't come with any extra huge chunks of plastic, just one small insert. The box itself isn't terribly discrete, as there are naked chicks lounging in bed on it. I ended up just tossing it, and finding something else to store my egg and remote in. I do wish that Wet For Her had included a small pouch to keep their toy in, as I'm prone to losing small pieces if they're not kept together.

The bullet isn't as small as I would like, because I was hoping this could be a dual use vibe. I wanted to be able to tuck it into my panties or use it internally, but the size of the toy just doesn't work for that. The bullet measures 3 inches long, and has a diameter of 1.25 inches. There is also a retrieval cord for the bullet, which looks and feels like plastic coated wire. I'm not terribly impressed with it, to be honest. It sticks out while I have it inserted, and the texture of it rubs at and irritates my labia. The bullet is not exactly discreet when worn under jeans, but you could maybe make it work with a skirt or dress, provided you or whomever had the remote didn't turn the toy up too high. It is not a very loud toy, but it is definitely audible to someone next to you once you turn it higher than level 2 or 3.

That brings me to the vibration levels. The egg has 10 different levels, which range from 'Wait, did I actually turn this toy on?' to 'Huh. Ok, it's vibrating, and feels good. But where's my orgasm?'. To me, the vibration levels never really got above a 2 or 3 out of 5, and inserting the toy dampened (pun not intended)the intensity. Switching through the vibrations is fairly simple. The remote only has 3 buttons, a 'power on/off' switch on the side of the remote, and a screen. The buttons are up, down, and power on/off. The screen shows what number (1-10) of vibration level you are at as you press the up or down buttons, as well as a random pattern of snowflakes that don't correspond to the intensity.

The bullet runs on two AA batteries, and the remote...well, here's where another problem with this toy is. It runs off a battery type I have never heard of before, a 12v, and I have no idea where I'm going to have to go to replace it. Not cool, Wet for Her! Why not just stick to AAAs and AAs? I don't like having to make a special run to a different store to pick up batteries for my vibrators. The internal battery compartment for the bullet is a cool set up, and has clear instructions on which way to insert your batteries so you're not left messing around with them and getting frustrated. There's an o-ring where the bullet joins, so it's waterproof, but you need to be careful when screwing the two halves together to make sure it sealed properly and the o-ring didn't warp or catch. I felt comfortable inserting the toy without using a condom, but I'm not sure about fully submerging it for cleaning.

To clean this toy, I use antimicrobial soap and water. You have to take extra care around the opening where the retrieval cord comes out, and also around the grooves where the two halves of the bullet fits together. Cleaning the remote shouldn't be an issue, unless your partner gets too excited and accidentally drops it into a bowl of soup or something. (But then, you'd have bigger problems to worry about than how you should clean your remote...)

Now, the material is where I have yet more problems with this toy. I had originally requested it because the product page says that it is silicone. It's not. This toy is made of 100% latex! Please do not use this toy if you have any sort of latex allergy or sensitivity! Now, while I don't have a latex allergy, it's not one of my favourite materials. I'm a bit of a toy snob, and love being able to bleach or boil my silicone, glass, or metal toys. Do that to a latex toy, and you won't have a toy for very long. Latex is compatible with water or silicone based lubes, but avoid oil based products, as it can cause the material to break down.
Experience
I was actually shocked at how well this remote bullet worked! I'd asked my mate to do some scientific experiments with me, and we spent an hour or so putting it through it's paces.

We found that there wasn't any issues with the signal being interrupted if the bullet was inserted. I layered my clothing (jeans, leggings and panties), and it still had no problems, not even if my legs were crossed. *cough* Unlike some other, much pricier, vibes. *cough*

Want to change the settings of the bullet in a different room? Also not a problem. BloodHound, my partner, was able to switch between vibration levels even with two walls between us. We were also roughly 25 feet apart! That's some pretty impressive transmitting for a little bullet remote.

The bullet could technically just tucked into panties, but I wouldn't be comfortable in taking this toy out in public without worrying about the noise of the toy being a giveaway. However, the size is just too bulky for it to only be tucked into your panties-it will need to be inserted. Otherwise, you'll look (and sound) like you're sporting a small and very buzzy erection.

Overall, this would be a good toy if: You are not sensitive to latex, require minimal vibrations to orgasm, and enjoy wearing toys out and about. Sadly, it is not the toy for me, as I require my vibrators to get me to orgasm, and I have since discovered that 'tease and denial' is not my style.

Toy Three, I tried to <3 you. But, I <3 you not.
Follow-up commentary
We didn't end up keeping this little toy. It got trundled off to a friend, one who would love this vibe better than I did.

To me, these toys have always seemed better in concept than practice. Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the great review! The latex is just not cool! I hate when that happens

@ToyGeek Honestly, it would have been a great toy if it was smaller, not latex, and stronger! Maybe someday!

Why latex?! Ugh. And it's weak? I'll pass. Such a shame so many wireless remotes are duds.

If you like the idea of it, you could try the Lyla 2. It's fairly strong and rechargeable. Plus the egg will work without the remote.

Thanks for the great review! Over one in in diameter does seem a bit huge for a remote bullet, I would want it small enough to slip in my panties.
  • Contributor: Pixel
@Kira I'm actually over the idea of having a wireless bullet. Seemed fun in theory, but not so much so in practice.

@NarcissisticLust I know, right? Way too big!
