iStimulate

This pocket sized vibe is a great start for beginners or for someone who enjoys strong clitoral stimulation. The attachments are great for variety, but I found using the iVibe without attachments for clitoral stimulation while using another toy does the job best for me.

Use

The iKit iVibe sure packs a great vibration for clitoral stimulation. Anal stimulation would also be great, but I wouldn't recommend anal insertion as the attachments are small and just slipped onto the iVibe. There are five pieces that come in the iKit; a Baby "G", a Vibro Bullet, a Teasing Tongue, a Slim Probe, and Titillating Fingers. I found using just the iVibe itself was more pleasurable. The top of the toy has 3 little beads and I found that the direct stimulation with no attachment was more powerful, therefore making it more pleasurable. The iVibe is more of a beginner's type of toy. It's a small, compact toy that won't intimidate a newer user. The iVibe will work well for solo or partner play time. You could definitely use the clitoral and anal stimulation during foreplay or during intercourse. It's easy to grip onto and won't get in the way of penetration. Also, during solo play, you could have a dildo gripped in one hand and easily stimulate yourself with the iVibe.

Material / Texture

I wasn't too impressed when I pulled out the attachments. The iVibe and attachments are both made out of plastic. Three of the attachments are very firm, the titillating fingers and tongue will bend if you have them in your hand, but not while using them on the iVibe. The base of the attachments are a little more pliable, making it easy to get them on and off of the pocket rocket.

When first pulling them out of the package, they definitely had a strong rubber/plastic smell, but after cleaning them a few times, the smell has faded away. All of the attachments have a very smooth texture. The fingers tend to feel like they scratch if you rub them against your hand, but I had no problem when inserting. Also, the Slim Probe, while smooth, does have two bumps to play with.

With the smooth, but hard texture of the plastic, there is no extra stimulation, but with the powerful vibration, you don't really need that extra punch. I find the texture to be more for beginners as it is completely smooth. More advanced users, or even 'intermediate' users like myself, may enjoy toys with more texture and extra stimulation.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the design of this little guy. The iVibe is so tiny and compact that you can take it anywhere. I love the fact that you can put the original cover on the iVibe and stick it a pocket of your purse to have with you. Without an attachment on it, you could pass it off and some type of body massager. With that said, this toy is definitely discreet, size-wise, and suitable for any type of travel. The size of the iVibe would be great for beginners or more advanced users.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are located in in the bullet which sits about an inch below the top of the iVibe. There's only one function for the iVibe, which isn't so great. The strong vibrations do make up for having one function, but they may be a little strong for some users and others may prefer pulsating vibrations or vibrations that move back and forth from weak to strong. The controls are very easy to use, but can become inconvenient. To turn the bottom half all the way to the left will open the bottom (where the battery goes), turning it slightly to the right puts it into the off position, and turning it further right turns in on. So this leaves a chance of playing around, accidentally turning the bottom half too far, and having to scramble to find the battery and put it back together. I find this toy to be very noisy as it does pack a punch, vibration wise. It could definitely be heard under covers and possibly through a closed door if no other sounds were happening.

Care and Maintenance

The iVibe is completely easy to care for. With the attachments being made of a hard plastic and not being porous at all, some toy cleaner or anti-bacterial soap and warm water will do the trick. For the main part of the toy, after taking the battery out and putting it back together, cleaning it with anti-bacterial soap and a wash cloth would be best, I wouldn't suggest putting it under running water since it isn't waterproof. The iVibe is completely easy to store away in my lock box since it doesn't take up too much room and if you just want the iVibe without the attachments, it will fit easily into a purse. The hard plastic allows for silicone or water-based lubes, just make sure to of course clean all of the lubrication off which cleaning the toy after use.

Packaging

The packaging for this toy definitely caught my eye. I'm a sucker for anything packaged with eye catching fonts or bright colors. The package of the toy is a gray box with the toys all laid out so that you can see them before even opening it. Each piece has it's own label beside it so that you know which attachment you're using. There were actually no instruction included in the package, but I didn't find them needed. The whole toy is self-explanatory, but some users do like using directions. This package is definitely able to be used as a storage box for the toy since each piece has its own 'compartment'.
    • Good for storage
    • Would make a nice gift
Follow-up commentary
I've been using this toy for a couple more months now. I've just put the attachments aside and they never have done much for me, being too hard, and I just use the iVibe when I want a quick little session with myself. It's easy to pull out, use, clean up, and hide back in its little place. I've used it a few times during intercourse as well now as a clit stimulator and while it does the job, it's kind of awkward to hold and you've got to work a little bit to get the vibrations on the right place. While this isn't amazing, it's something I'll keep around and recommend!
