Perfect first vibrator!

The iKit is really a first vibrator at heart. More experienced users who know what they want probably won't be interested in it. But for the value, it's a good quality toy for those looking to explore with clitoral stimulation and solo play.

Use

The Pocket Rocket iKit was my very first vibrator, and to this day I have trouble finding vibrators able to live up to the memory. I wore the poor thing out, and for good reason. The whole Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket line is pretty darn well known, and it's easy to tell why — the vibrator is quality for a really excellent price. The vibrations are great, even with the single setting. Nowadays, I prefer some more options, but in the beginning, the one setting was all I needed.

The attachments are really what make the kit worth it. Though I found a few of them too hard and pointy, and I couldn't really handle the Rocket without any attachment (I'm super sensitive clit-wise, though, so take that into consideration). However, the small G-spot attachment, or "mini-G", is actually perfect for clitoral stimulation.

I didn't consider it a great toy for insertion purposes. A good vibrating dildo is better for that kind of thing, but if you're looking to explore on the outside, I highly recommend this toy.

Material / Texture

The feel of the hard jelly tips is really nice — very smooth, and not draggy like silicone can be sometimes, but not too hard like straight plastic. It conducts the vibrations well, and muffles the sound a little. If it's a personal toy (not shared), it can be cleaned with toy cleaner and taken care of that way. However, it's easy to use it with a condom for simpler cleanup — my favorite way to use toys (I'm lazy, what can I say!)

Design / Shape / Size

The design is really simple, particularly with its one vibration option. However, the handle is short and easy to hold for clitoral use, and the attachments slip on and off easily. I never had trouble getting them on and off. Cleaning is another matter — if you tend to get things very messy or use a lot of lube, be prepared to clean a lot of little gaps and ridges on the handle. It can be frustrating.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The iVibe is as simple as it gets — one switch. Batteries are very easy to change, and it's not particularly noisy, although I wouldn't call it whisper quiet. The vibrations are all located in the tip, per any other Pocket Rocket type toy.

With only one level of vibration, you can change the feel or intensity with the different tips. Each does offer a different sensation, and it's easy to pick your favorite and go from there. But it can be hit or miss, since you have to enjoy the shape of the particular attachment as well.

Care and Maintenance

Most vibrators last longer if they are stored with the batteries removed. Luckily, it's really simple to do this with this toy. I always stored it with the battery removed, which I'm sure extended the life. It's easy to care for in general, not requiring any fancy cleaning — toy cleaner is the best option for the tips, which are easier to clean if you remove them first. However, the iVibe itself is difficult to clean at times, having many little slits and ridges.
    • Easy to store
Follow-up commentary
The iVibe & attachments lasted over a year before they broke - the vibe itself kept working, but the white part on top eventually detached. I think this is due to the constant stress of switching out tips. However, still very worth the money, and still a classic for me!
