Double Your Fun

Two is not better than one!
Deux is a vibrator that will be enjoyed by few. If you're male and you like vibrations down there, that's what you'll get. As for us ladies, I doubt most will have a smooth ride with Deux. The hard material takes away from the potential to use this in any position besides lying down. The hump constantly pokes and hurts. To sum it up: Deux needs a makeover! Read more

Best use:

The Zini Deux is a unique pair of vibrators that store connected and then separate to deliver individualized vibrations for both you and your partner or you alone. One vibrator is concave (“his”) and designed to work on breasts or the balls and penis, or any body part you want to cup. The other vibrator is convex (“hers”) and works best for clitoral or labial stimulation. Either piece can be used in different orientations for stimulation. While not as noticeably different with his piece, her piece can be oriented to stimulate the clitoris and not interfere with penetration toys or it can nestle between labial folds and stimulate the entire region with vibrations.

With a variety of vibration levels and pulsation patterns, each partner can find a setting they enjoy, and both partners can indulge in mutual or shared foreplay, using the Deux on a variety of body locations (although the Deux should never be used on the eyes or arteries). The Deux cannot be used in the bath or shower, but can bring some fun and excitement to the bed.

    The Zini Deux is lightweight and ergonomically designed to sit comfortably in your hand, regardless of which one you are using. The two pieces nestle together like two sides of an egg and stay close due to interior magnets with a light attraction. Each piece is about 4 1/2" long and 2 3/4" wide. His piece is entirely smooth in the inside with room to cup the desired body part. Her piece rises to a smooth peak on the narrower end which is ideal for firm clitoral stimulation.

    The Deux comes in different color combinations – either black, deep violet or white on the outside, and a vibrant plum on the inside. The interior of each piece is smooth and seamless. A seam is noticeable around the sides where the exterior and interior colors meet, but it isn’t felt during use.

    These vibrators are rechargeable, and the charging port is located on the bottom of the exterior on both. A small plug covers the port and can be a bit difficult to open the first few times. It stays connected by a small piece of plastic. Both parts of the Deux must be charged separately, but only one charger is included in the box. The manufacturer recommends only using the charger that comes with the Deux, but also mentions that the Roae charger is identical so if you own this other Zini product you can charge both halves simultaneously. The vibrators should not be charged more than 24 hours to avoid damage to the battery.

  • Functions / Performance / Controls:

    Each half of the Deux is controlled by a button pad on the exterior near the narrower top. The top of the pad (closest to the tip) has a raised +, the center has an O, and the bottom has an indented - . The raised and lowered portions of the strip make it easy to tell which part you’re pressing during use.

    They arrive locked in travel mode, and must be unlocked before use. Pressing both the + and – for a few seconds will cause the whole button to be backlit green, indicating that it’s ready for use. Each piece must be unlocked. This mode makes the Deux ideal to travel with since it won’t turn on during use.

    The pieces should be fully charged before the first use, which takes about 2 hours when the battery is fully drained. A full charge will give approximately 3 hours of operating time. When charging, the button pad will be backlit in red – this will go to green when charging is complete.

    Each piece has the same vibrations and patterns and functions the same way.
    Pressing the + button turns the vibrator on. If the + button is pressed and held for a few seconds the vibration intensity will jump up to high, otherwise the vibration strength increases through 5 levels, which range from 30Hz to 160Hz.

    Regardless of which vibration strength is chosen, pressing the center O button will cause the pad to flash orange and begin the patterns. (which will be at that vibration level). These patterns are cycled through by pressing the + button and are:
    - medium pulsation
    - fast oscillating pattern
    - longer pulsation
    - low to high fast reverberation
    - very fast pulsation followed by steady vibration

    Pressing – while the Deux is in pattern mode will go through the patterns in reverse. The center O must be pressed to put the vibrations back in steady mode, and then they can be increased or decreased in intensity as desired. Pressing the – button will lower the vibrations and turn the Deux off when it's in steady mode.

    The Deux also has a random pulse setting, which can be accessed at any intensity level by pressing and holding the O for about 2 seconds. The Deux will then randomly vibrate and pulse.

    The vibrations in the Zini Deux can be felt well throughout the entire piece and don’t seem to be stronger towards the front or the back.

    The Deux is quiet but not silent and has a sound less than 49dB at its loudest. It sounds a bit musical and the pitch of the sound changes as the power increases. It is much quieter when pressed against the body, however, and background music or sound will hide the fact that it’s in use.

  • Care and Maintenance:

    The Deux is easy to clean with mild soap and warm water and should be cleaned both before and after use. Because it is not waterproof, it is best to clean it with a wet cloth or carefully rinse it under running water, making sure that the covers for the charging ports are closed. It should never be immersed in water or any other liquid, and cleaners containing chemicals, alcohol, or rough or abrasive ingredients should not be used.

    Each piece can be dried with a soft cloth and then stored in the travel lock mode in the provided bag or original box.

    The Deux should not be exposed to direct sunlight or to extreme heat, and it shouldn’t be dropped.

    Waterbased lubricants are recommended and safe to use, but alcohol or oil-based lubricants should not be used as they will damage the Deux.

  • Packaging:

    The Zini Deux is made in Korea, and arrives in a 6”x6”x4.5” box shrinkwrapped in plastic. The box has a removable fuschia band with a white outline of the product around it as well as a Qr code. Scanning this code takes you to a webpage with 8 Youtube videos, the product image, a link to the Zini website, and text that tells the Zini story.

    The box itself is black with a small diamond pattern all over and Zini in the lower right corner. It’s sealed shut with a small sticker that states it has passed quality control by the Zini Standard and to check with a representative if the seal is broken.

    The box is unique. Removing the lid reveals the top portion where the Deux rests on a cardboard tray and is covered by a plastic bubble. A small lift tab aids in removing the cover to access the Deux and remove this upper portion if desired.

    The top of the box swings out to reveal the lower compartment, where the charger, user manual (which has information on the 1 year warranty) and product one sheet (easy guide) for the Deux are located, as well as a drawstring storage bag in matching box pattern. The instructions are sufficient for using the Deux.

    The box is discreet, and useful to store either the Deux or other items in the top and bottom. It’s easy to tuck away in a drawer or even leave on the nightstand.

  • Experience:

    This is a toy that’s intrigued me, so I was pretty excited to get it. My husband wasn’t so sure. While he’s used cock rings, he really hasn’t played with my vibrators very much – well, unless he’s using them on me – so he was a bit hesitant. After playing around with each of them I passed them over for him to look at, and then he said, “Oh, go for it.” So I did.

    I started out easy on him, using it on low on his nipples which he thought felt pretty good. Then I went south. His piece of the Deux cupped his balls and went up the penis, and on low he was making quite an interesting face. He said it tickled, although it felt good, and so I went up to the higher vibrations and then the patterns. He didn’t care for the higher levels, and said it felt like his balls were going numb, but the patterns on the lower levels he liked.

    The Deux for me was fun as a foreplay toy and since it’s hard it allowed me to get the pressure going. The highest speed is pretty strong (not Hitachi strong or Fairy strong, but decently strong), and I liked the patterns a lot, particularly the random one. I also liked how I could use this oriented with just the nub vibrating my clit and allowing for penetration, or I could turn it so it vibrated everything from my clit to my vagina.

    What makes these fun is that we can each use them on ourselves - or use them on each other - as we're playing around before having intercourse. They’re well-designed and work by themselves or with a little extra action thrown in and are a great way to build up intensity before sex.

    These were louder than I was expecting, but they were much louder when not making contact with either of our bodies.

    I do wish these were waterproof, but I love that they have a travel mode. These will be coming along to Vegas with us this year!
