Zini out-did themselves with style and design of the Zini Deux. In fact, they won awards for the innovation in this unique couples style vibrator! The Deux (meaning "both") is actually two separate vibes. Each has it's own control panel, it's own charging port, and it's own unique shape. The female portion of the toy is designed to stimulate her, with the highest amount of power at the clitoral bump, but the vibrations carry down to the base of the toy which is designed to give stimulation to the labia. His portion of the vibe is designed kind of like a shallow cup, perfect for giving a little bit of tingly pleasure to the testicles or shaft!

However, you have the chance to be inspired by the innovation of the Duex and am make some inventions of your own! Don't have a man in your life? No problem! Use the His portion to cup your body! Stimulate your breast, or anywhere else you can thing of an enjoy double the fun!

The Duex is designed as a foreplay toy. Meaning, it's not suppose to give you a quick get off session. It has only 3 vrooms, which for the average user will be enough power to eventually get them off, but it will take a tease session. In my opinion, the Duex is a good way to con a man into giving you more effective foreplay ;) The vibrations will spice up any make out session, and the his and hers portions of the toy can make for very romantic pre-play.

With all the ways you can use these two vibes, I can honestly recommend them to anyone and everyone (except for total power queens who will just be disappointed!). The Duex is made completely of PU coated plastic. For those of you accustom to silicone, it might take a little bit of getting use to the rigidness of the toys. Both pieces of the Duex are a smooth texture with a velvety finish. There is no smell or taste to the material and all levels of users will be able to enjoy this toy!

This is the category where Duex is an award winning toy. Let's divide the two parts and go over what Zini has suggested as their uses!

His Piece (the concave side): Zini ergonomically designed this portion of the vibe to stimulate erogenous zones on both him and her, making it convenient for a woman to use with (or on) her partner, or all by herself. This toy comes factory locked...To unlock it hold down the - button to the count of two, and then the + and - simultaneously for the count of five, unless you count really slow, and then it will turn on faster! To lock it up, do the exact same thing. A red light means locked, a green means unlocked. Clever, huh? haha

Want to get to the top of power on the Deux? Press and hold the + button once it's on. It will do a "max power" and go right to the top of it's 5 speeds.

In to the different pulse patters? Deux comes equipped with five of those also. All assigned their own colors. This makes for easy instruction for your partner. Get to your patters with the o button, and cycle through them with + or -Patterns include:

--pulses
--rapid increase decrease of vibrations
--slower pulses
--long steady vibration with very brief intermittent pauses
--rapid pulses followed by steady vibration


Remember this toy is splash proof only. Do not submerge.

Although the Duex is not fully waterproof, Zini again showed thoughtfulness in the creation of the Duex by making it splash proof for easy cleaning. Make sure the charging port is closed and you can run it under water and clean it with mild soap. Do not soak it in any liquid! You can also clean your Duex with your favorite toy cleaner.

The box is a fantastic storage container, which is my preferred way of storing. The Duex isn't a major lint magnet though, so it would probably be fine stored in a nightstand drawer for easy access =D

As far as lubricant goes, PU coated plastic is compatible with water based and silicone based lube, and with a dab added to the toy it will glide easily over any body part you wish to stimulate! Although the material is compatible with silicone based lubes, Zini does specifically steer customers towards water based on this product.


CHARGING:

The fact that the Duex is rechargeable is fantastic! But, one bummer about the Deux is the fact that it comes with one charger, but each side of the toy requires separate charging. You can also over-charge these toys which can potentially make them weaker or hold less battery life. Avoid charging for more than 24 hours to prolong battery life.

The charging port is located on the bottom, exterior portion of both halves. There is a plug that covers the charging port (the one that needs to be closed when washing!). It isn't super easy to open the first few times. The little cover is connected to the toy by a small piece of plastic which does appear to be very hardy and shouldn't break off.



Like all products, Zini encourages you to only use the charger that came with the product for charging. However, if you want to be able to charge the halves simultaneously and own other Zini products the chargers are identical.

Zini says that you should charge each half for about two hours. The initial charge, as always, takes a bit longer. I have found this to be fairly consistent. And, even on the highest power setting, the Zini Duex runs for like two hours which is pretty impressive! It really is designed for foreplay!

I can honestly say this is the type of toy that has a lot of options. It's not perfect, but it is fantastic. I love what it has done to our foreplay routine. I love the fact that my man actually likes the vibrations. I love the fact that it has mixed things up. And I love the fact that it's totally adorable. There is a lot going on for the Deux. Minor improvements (like waterproofing and a bit more power) would make this my absolute favorite couples toy. Even with the flaws, I am in love with the Deux because it is different. You can own every toy, and not have experienced this just yet.
