I really like the looks of the lover's prisoner kit b/c it contains a leash and ankle tethers which I don't have.

Sexy slave kit has both wrist and ankle straps, so I went with that one.

The ball gags and whips are a bit advanced for this type of kit.

Get the FANTASY series....but make sure you AND your partner are wanting to try this stuff. We have given it a little try...and it is NOT our cup of tea...or coffee.

Despite how the majority of people have voted so far, I say skip the suede kit - the cuffs are weak and the hardware will break if you play too hard. The ball gag is rubber, which is gross tasting to have in the mouth. Buy a quality silicone gag instead if you're looking for that kind of product. The suede is sensual, but the quality is pretty sub-par overall.

Sportsheets makes more durable products. The Lover's prisoner kit looks more interested to me than the sexy slave, so it gets my vote. If you already have a rubber whip then it may be less intriguing, I guess. Still, you say you also have 2 blindfolds already, so you wouldn't really need the one that comes with the slave set.

Don't go for the suede kit. Suede degrades really quickly and isn't really durable.


And rubber ball gags don't tend to have a lot of taste. You can wash it if you think it has a flavor. Mine did the first time, but it has no flavor now.

Suede fantasy kit surely looks nice, but its quality bothers me, so I would go with either Sexy slave or Lover's prisoner kit. It depends really on what you need more: Sexy slave will add more restrains and a tickler to your collection and Lover's prisoner has a nice-looking collar.

We got the Lover's Prisoner kit and used it for the first time last night. It's our first bondage set, and our first flogger. I really like it. And I think the husband enjoyed using it, too.

Lil Missy, I ended up getting the Lovers Prisoner Kit too. I should have gotten the purple suede one when I posted this because now it's discontinued and I won't be able to get it. So sad!

Unfulfilled, That is sad. =( But if you find you are into bondage and you LOVE purple, you should look at the crave line. 0_0 I got the Lover's Prisoner Kit as a starter to see if I liked it. Now I'm going for that one. It sucks that the purple one was discontinued tho. That would have been a great one for people to get to see if they were into gags. =(

I don't like any of these personally. They all seem pretty cheap. I would recommend buying the pieces that you are interested in trying out individually. It will probably save you money in the long run.

Beginner sets always seem to include at least one 'cheap' item, I find it better just to buy separate items of higher quality, that way you can get some time to practice with each first!

I will second what a few folks said--don't be afraid to go outside of a kit if you'd like something durable that'll last you a little longer!

Also consider the magic of what my friends and I like to call "pervertables"--everyd ay innocent items that you pervert into something naughty.

Like being hit/lightly hurt? Rulers, spatulas, hair brushes, clothes pins (wooden rather than plastic, if just starting).

Like being tied up? Sailing rope, duct tape (though if you're just starting and want something comfier, you can look up "bondage tape" that acts like duct tape, but only sticks to itself instead of your skin!), saran wrap (cheap and super effective, but I will warn you that it gets sweaty and is not the comfiest kind of bondage), go to the fabric store, and get long thin cuts of any fabric that feels nice when you tie it around your skin. Satin is usually a good bet. Or ever try bondage with a man's tie?

Like having some senses or the ability to speak taken away? MORE duct/bondage tape (it seriously fixes everything), noise cancelling head phones (so you can't hear or see, and have to just focus on being touched--I personally find sound deprivation a little scary, but some folks don't feel that way!), miscellaneous strips of fabric.

Like trying NEW senses? Ice cubes, candle wax (do a little bit of research into this--some wax types burn at much lower temperatures than others, and would be much better/safer for beginners), fur, banjo picks (for light scratching sensations), feathers, again--going to the fabric/craft stre and just picking up anything that feels interesting.

Go into any craft store, dollar store, Home Depot, Ikea--with the idea of picking up something naughty, and you can have cheap toy shopping trips every time you leave the house. Heck, look INside your house. You might have some pervertables already. Have fun exploring!
