If it's your first set I'd get the one with cuffs and all, if all you need is a spreader bar, they are very easy to make on your own. I know many people that find a length they like and make one with a thick dowel and eye let screws, it's not adjustable, but it's a good way to start out.
I made my own. Take a wood dowel, put in some screw eyes...presto. You have a spreader bar. Easy and inexpensive. You can use the money you save to purchase a nice set of cuffs.
Hmm I actually got the adjustable spreader bar, but if you'd use the extra stuff in the fetish set (the extra bar and cuffs) definitely it's a good value. Also I'd recommend replacing the pins that hold it in place with a threaded eyehook and washer from your hardware store. The pins felt like they just might fall out with a bit of frisky playing, plus I like that it's a bit harder to escape this way
WE have the Fetish series one, and the only complaint we have about that is that the "o" rings that attach the bar to the clips on the cuffs allows for more movement than we wanted, so we are going to improvise on how we use them, making them be used to set a distance apart and then using the support beams in our basement to immobilize or restrict the wearer... hope this helps
Like some of the folks above, I would make my own out of a wooden dowel and some eye screws. You can even make it slightly adjustable by putting several eyes along the rod. Just seems like a better use of my money (since in total it would be around 10 bucks).
I know this is an old post, but for those that are still interested in spreader bars I have the adjustable spreader bar and bought the purple fur lined cuffs to go with it. I didn't know how well the fetish fantasy cuffs would hold up.
