Soup for breakfast?

I was mostly raised by my Japanese grandmother, and most Japanese meals include soup! I grew up eating miso soup or veggie soups for breakfast with white rice, an egg and fish and or veggies. I've noticed that a LOT of people get weirded out by having soup for breakfast, but it seems like the perfect breakfast food to me, I can't stand all the super sweet things like pancakes and cereal that a lot of folks eat.

Do you like soup for breakfast?

I have never really considered eating soup for breakfast. But I must admit I crave Hot and Sour soup all day long, so why not for breakfast?!

For some reason I don't like breakfast food, and I eat just about anything that is not considered "normal." I do eat soup for breakfast occasionally. Usually when I'm sick and need something to clear my nose and throat.

I occasionally will have my breakfast at my desk at work. That means soup. Ramin or Campbells

Can't say I'd considered it, I'm not awake enough to do that without causing an accident.

I don't really like soup so no, it's not a morning meal for me.
I do! It's especially nice on a cold morning.

I do not usually eat breakfast. Ever since I was small, eating within an hour or two after I get up makes me very, very sick. It also lasts all day long and is so unpleasant I just go without until lunch. I would have soup for breakfast---I eat whatever sounds good regardless of the meal it is supposed to be for.

I'm also Japanese and LOVE to have soup with almost any meal!

Interesting concept. I've never had it for breakfast. Maybe I should try.
