That's also up for discussion actually. It can't fall on a night there's something else going on, but otherwise, what works for you guys?

I guess you ignored my previous post. I suggested a summer cyber-BBQ. Happyhomeschoolingmom added to that and suggested a pool party.
I can't believe that didn't compute for me.

I'm ok with either of those, although I'd lean more towards a pool party personally.

I think the Easter party was a bit of a let down considering it was just a month after the St. Pat's party (which was a month after the Valentine's party). Perhaps waiting until June might be a good idea to let everyone start getting antsy.

It's all about strategic placement of flotation devices

We were thinking the same thing honestly. Having a party a month is kind of cool, but at the same time, if it becomes too much of a regular thing, people don't think it's as cool anymore.

I'm all for June.

July 4 doesn't mean much to the Canadians and others from outside the US, though.

a low key laid back June one and the big independence day party still sounds good, although some people may not even be here on the 4th because they are out celebrating irl

The parties are never actually on the holidays. As you said, few people would attend if that was the case.

And I would worry that a lot of people would be off vacationing or taking time off and not necessarily spending it here.

Any thoughts on a late June party with small mentions of July 4th?

I'll be gone the last week of June, if that makes the decision easier.
