It could have been, if no kiddos were home . As it was, I felt guilty burning them with no other use intended.

Awww. I'd probably feel bad too. I have tons of extra massage candles laying around though. I even have some regular candles here from EF too.

I've only got a few. Now, though, I do have regular candles - I stocked up

Dumb question: I get the massage and candle part but how do they work together?

I'm in Virginia and we got a foot of snow-- very unusual for us. A lot of friends have lost power for hours, but we've been lucky. And we have gas heat, so we'll survive if it does go out.

When the candle melts, it melts into massage oil. You blow out the candle, then the semi-warm "wax" can be poured onto the skin for a massage.

You light the candle and wait for the wax to melt across the top of the candle. Then you pour it into your hand or on your lover's skin. Begin massage!

We have electric and it can suck at times! We've thought about buying a generator, but haven't.

Does it not burn?

It's not as hot as regular wax, so it's warm, but not burning.

I may need to buy one and try it. Any recommendations?

Some are, but most aren't too bad. The BWarm is just amazing. If you want to start somewhere, I highly recommend starting there. I think EF has a buy one, get one half off sale on the BWarm until the 31st. And no, it doesn't burn. It's slightly warm, but not burning. It's actually much more comfortable than regular massage oil.

Of the ones I've tried, I like the Afterglow. I have one of the Lelo ones here too, but I haven't tried it yet.

The BWarm has a little "pouring spout" that cools down the wax even more before it hits the body which is great if you're nervous. With the BWarm, we can actually leave the candle burning while we pour it without any pain, so it burns really cold. (I recommend blowing it out first though.)

I can't seem to get the hot candle part off my mind. But I will test one out.

I haven't tried the BWarm before... but it sounds like I'd like to!

I have the Afterglow in Pink Lotus. I really love the scent; I keep it close so I can smell it while I computer. I also rub my elbows in it when I feel dry.
I'm pretty sure having afterglow elbows makes me spoiled.
