As a massage product, it's great. But when it's actually burning, you can see any scratches in the black coated glass when it's burning, the lid just looks cheap to me (its got a neon plastic ring on it), it doesn't really smell when it's burning, and it doesn't burn evenly no matter how long you burn it for- it just burns a well down the center. Also, it has no spout (like JJ) or spoon (like Shunga) so when you pour the wax out, it gets on the side.

Whereas Jimmyjane is an equally great massage product, but comes in a beautiful, flawless container, smells incredible, melts perfectly, and pours without dripping at all.

I go back and forth between reading novels and short fiction, so I understand what you mean. Sometimes it takes me longer to read a novel, not necessarily for the lack of erotic content but just because I really have to get into the story.
See, that's the funny thing with me - when it's an erotic story and that's what I'm looking for from it, I get impatient with novels. But a non-erotic novel, even one with erotic components (have you gotten the Amy Lane Little Goddess series yet? ), I fly right through. Must be an expectation thing.

I loved Opening Up. Definitely very in-depth.

Is the Gingersnap pretty neutral?
I think it is.

It really was. I think a TON of it applies equally to monogamous relationships as well.

Mmm... gingersnap sounds delicious!

I got the Vanilla one. I really like the way it smells, but it only smells when I'm really close to it

Longevity for the most part. At least on my end. And the pour spout. I poured the same amount of the Lelo candle into my hand as a JJ one takes to give my husband a nice backrub, caught the smear heading down the side of the container, and still ended up having to grab a massage oil.

That really does suck. The JJ ones fill the whole room with the smell. Even when they aren't lit you can still smell it, it's just faint.

I know, I love my JJ ones. And actually they don't get obnoxiously competitive when lit with other candles, which is really nice. Every now and then I like to light like, all of my candles at the same time, lol.

Lol, I do that too so I buy a ton at the dollar store, some of them definitely have beeswax in them... I can smell it.
I am waiting until I have a little extra money and then I am going to invest in a 10 lb bag of 100% pure soy wax and make some of my own candles. It will be exciting to see how they turn out.

I'm so backlogged on my reading, I haven't bought anything new in months! Between reading for my anthologies and reading the books for book club (and for a non-erotic book club I'm in), I never have time for just regular "fun" reading! Woe!

We do that sometimes (make our own). If you have a Hobby Lobby nearby you should watch for their 40% off coupons to get your wax.

That's why we love the anthologies... we can read a little here and there and actually make progress (lol)

I;m in Canada, and as far as I know.... we don't have Hobby Lobbys, but I do know some great companies to buy in bulk from and they are really affordable. I already make massage oils, sugar scrubs and sometimes moisturizing insect repellent that instead of causing cancer, is actually GOOD for your body.

Ooh, you'll have to let me know how it goes. My husband laughed at me the other day because we were doing a lot of cleaning and organizing and I took out and lit every single candle I could find in the bedroom. I do it mostly because well, if I have them, I might as well use them, and also because I like to make sure they have enough time to burn evenly.

Omg, you've got to send me instructions on how to do some of this stuff, I do enjoy a good sugar scrub every now and then

When they don't burn evenly I scrape the extra closer to the middle and hold a lighter over it until it all melts into a flat puddle. Works like a charm.
