Time frames of reviews:

You have 3 weeks from accepting the assignment to have a review in. If you need more time than that or you haven't received it after a week, let us know! If you need more time, you can always drop me or Gary a line.

They're pretty forgiving with time limits. Obviously the sooner the better, but they understand life happens sometimes

Oh 3 weeks ok that sounds reasonable and I like that you can ask for an extension.

That's good to know. My first one took a little time to cross the border (love weather, eh?). Made me wonder about timelines.

Pretty much!

If you worry that you're going to forget about it, we also send out reminder emails too at 3 weeks.

That helps, I have to believe that in the beginning it just takes longer because you have to find your voice and figure out how to write reviews. Knowing that there is some understanding helps!

what is the appropriate time limit for follow ups?

One question we commonly get is: What does it mean when the ship date on my review is Jan. 1st?

That means there could be an issue with stock and you should let Gary or I know.

Some toys can take longer to test than others. I had one that I had to use for a good long while before I was ready to write the review, the first couple of uses did nothing for me. After the fifth or so use it started to work out better. So those extensions can be real useful. Also writing a review the day after t=you get it does not really work either, ya know?

I have another question, what happens if you're assigned a product and after receiving it, you realize you don't want to test and review it because of something like the smell of the material or the compatibility with you're body, or the like?

Follow ups are whenever, but the default is 2 months. Ideally it's some time after your original review to see if your opinion has changed at all, and not like the next day.

Generally, 2 months is a good time frame for a follow up. But if you haven't really touched the product since then, pull it out again and give it a whirl to see if you still like it.

A follow up on a product you haven't played with since writing the initial review prolly isn't going to be too helpful.
