Best way to sterilize SinFive Emigi?

Synarestra Synarestra
Hey guys, quick question here. I ordered the SinFive Emigi, and my international shipper apparently became quite curious about it and opened the package... as a result, the product reached me quite dirty, even with some noticeable dirt marks on the white portion of it. I have washed it with warm water and antibacterial soap and any visible dirt is now gone, but I was wondering if it would be a good idea to boil it before using it? I know this is valid for some other silicone products, but I don't know about this one.

I appreciate any help, thanks!

This product is not made from silicone, if you look at the product page it says that it's made from WTP which is a specially formulated thermoplastic.

From going over the reviews of others, they mention not boiling or putting it into your dishwasher since it could cause damage to the toy. After looking up the website and doing a quick search of the material type, all I'm finding is that it should be washed with antibacterial soap and water. Maybe you could try a toy spray to ease your mind? I'm sorry I'm not more helpful here!

After reading your thread, I submerged my Emigi in a bowl of 70% Isopropyl Alcohol for 8 minutes; it looked normal when I took it out from the solution, and after rinsing it in water, it didn't smell of alcohol either...that should be a foolproof way to sterilize yours.

Oh wow, thank you PropertyOfPotter for pointing that out! I was under the wrong impression that it was made of silicone... I have a toy spray I can try on it too. Rossie's suggestion of using a bit of alcohol sounds good too.

Thank you both!!
