We are introducing a new line of INTIMATE ORGANICS lubricants this fall, and we are wondering the popularity of the different sizes of lubes for waterbased, high quality, organic lubes before we organize our run!
Please put in order of choice
2 oz
4 oz
8 oz
e.g. if you are more apt to buy/sell a 4oz lube, put it as Answer#1, followed by either 2 or 8 oz
Adam and Eve do a 16oz water-based lube and given how much we use, we don't tend to buy anything else.
We buy the same lube all of the time because it is the only one that we can use (allergies). I hope to see more natural lubes available for people with allergies. A lube may be "hypoallergenic" but it may not necessarily be chemical free. The one we use is only sold at health food stores. Anyways, I prefer the largest size possible. A 16oz would be great!
I usually buy smaller bottles. Actually, I haven't had to buy lube in a while; a lot of samples and smaller bottles have come in to negate the need for it. My Womolia, for example, came with two travel-sized pump bottles of lubricant, one water-based and one silicone-based.
But yes, if I do buy lube, I tend to buy it in the smallest quantity possible. That way, none of it goes to waste!
We go through an awful lot of lube, so I tend to buy it in the larger sizes. If it's a new one for me, though, I'll buy a small one to try it out. That way, if I don't like it, I'm not wasting so much.
We try to get samples first, but if none are available we always buy the smallest possible amount until we figure out if either of us are going to have any bad reactions to it. Then if the lube works out ok we buy the largest bottle available so we don't have to keep ordering it.
I try to get sample sizes of lubes I haven't used before. And then I might get a small bottle just to be sure.. but once I find a lube I like, I go for the bigger bottles (typically the pump ones).
The last few bottles of lube I bought were 16 oz bottles of BabeLube. (Although I'm discovering that BabeLube tends to dry out and get too thick to dispense by the time I get near the end of the bottle.) Before that I used to buy the 17.5 oz bottles of ID Glide. I actually contemplated the 35 oz size of ID Glide at one point.
I get samples first or I don't buy. Then I won't go for anything larger than 4oz cause I like variety and anything larger seems like too large a commitment.
Recently if I find one I love I am now willing to get a large bottle if it has a pump.
It's not our favorite, though - the Oceanus Naturals is. That stuff is AMAZING.
Already my wife's ears have perked up because of your brand's name, Intimate Organics. She LOVES organic stuff. Do your brands contain glycerin?
Hi Red,
What do you like best about Oceanus Naturals? I am curious to know. Our current lube HYDRA does not contain glycerine. We have 5 lubes coming out in October HYDRA (reformulated with a plant cellulose formula), DEFENSE (Carrageean and Guava Bark Extract formula), MELT (plant Glycerine and Cinnomin Base), SOOTH (anal lube with plant glycerine and Guava Bark Extract) and final CONTROL, (male stamina - plant glycerine and kava kava base)
Provided I know a lube's at least decent, I like bigger bottles. Less packaging waste, less reordering, less time that the bottle is almost-empty-so-you-ha ve-to-really-make-it-c ome-out. Bigger = better. But not too big. I don't want, like, a gallon of lube on my nightstand.
If I'm not sure about a lube, I might go for a smaller bottle, but even then I'd probably risk it if the larger one's a better deal. I'd just use it some other way if I didn't like it on my bits, etc.
Lubes my husband and I use a lot of I buy in the largest size possible. Mostly because I want pump top bottles, and the *good* pump top bottles only come in larger sizes (I have observed). Specialty use lubes, and lubes I am trying out? 2oz!
I buy him "jerk off lube" in those 17.5 oz bottles, and I buy our beside standard, liquid silk (which I am looking to replace with something paraben free) in 8oz bottles.
Since I gave up hiding lube, I like the 8oz pump bottles. I find I use les overall like this and no spilled lube in a drawer or on the bed. Also less expensive but I do try samples...

4ml Foils for HYDRA lube will be available next month!

does intimate organics do pump top 8oz bottles?
Hi Red,
In October we are introducing a series of speciality lubes and the 8oz ones will definetly have pump tops!!!
Hi, I will definetly mention to Eden Fantasy's that an interview would be a great idea!
Cheers
Rebecca
We'd LOVE to have you for the community interview! Let's commit to some dates via email. Did you see the current interview with Dean of Sliquid? You know, you can ask him questions too!
I probably would never buy 2 oz of a water-based lube unless I was buying it for my purse or for travel. Since you tend to need more of water-based lubes that silicone-based, I would say:
4 oz if it was a lube I had never tried before.
8 oz if I had tried it and liked it.
2 oz if I needed bottle for my purse or for travel.

That's sounds great.....what dates did you have in mind?
1- 4 ounce
2- 8 ounce
3- 2 ounce
If we know we like a certain lube, we will go ahead and get 8 ounces or larger so we don't ahve to reorder so often or risk running out.
1-4
2-8
3-2
Same reasoning. If I know I like it I'll buy the biggest possible, otherwise I'll go for a medium. I don't know why, but the small bottles tend to annoy me a little...
