I think it would be really cool if we could do auto-assignments. I know that you all usually give us assignments if we don't ask for one. That's how it was with my old account. But it's not always things we like or want to use. Maybe we could make a list of things we like and the system could auto assign or "suggest" an assignment that kinda fits our preferences? Just an idea.

This is kind of sort of how the descriptive review program works. Basically, you set your product/material preferences and then things are sent to you based on those.

You're never obligated to accept something you don't like and you're free to choose products you will like with the free montly assignment from Eden, buy-outs and manufacturer sponsored items.

I think the issue would be that there are too many reviewers for this to work easily. Too many are inactive and not everyone is always looking for an item to review at all times. With an automated system, potential items could constantly get stuck in limbo waiting for a response from inactive reviewers.

However, what I would instead suggest is that the product search function needs a major revamp so that it is more user friendly and more useful. Currently it is too limited.

I agree Kindred, I've mentioned on the forums several times about not liking the way the Product search function is. I hate that I can't narrow it down to reviews in my price range as well as reviews that have more than 1 review but less than 3. That would be so helpful and save me a lot of time looking constantly to find an item for my monthly assignment that I'd like that doesn't have more than 3 reviews on them.
