Do you think it's bad to use your EF gift cards all the time?

I totally agree. I mean I only just started work so I've been saving. But EF sets points limits for a reason. At most I think the average person can earn around 200 points a day, so that's two dollars. If you wanted a 100$ that takes a WHILE to get to. So the chances of you waiting for a toy THAT long are pretty slim without buying additional toys in the mean time. I've only been able to wait a few months so far because I don't have any money otherwise I would've totally bought it by now! But they have it structured so that those who strictly want free stuff have to work pretty damn hard and be pretty tempted to not just buy it!

I say it's perfectly okay. I've not gotten anything with ALL points yet, I'm always paying something (especially with the cost of shipping involved!) so I feel alright using them on every purchase I make

I think it is perfectly fine to use gift cards. I think that eden promotes the point system a lot including the current double points week. If they were struggling, I think that they would cut back on the program and would not offer so many opportunities to earn points.

It's a good question. I've thought about it before, I didn't even notice I was earning points till early this year. and I've been searching Eden and wish listing and such for more then 2 years. So When I noticed Eden points program I had like $80, so I was excited! Then I spent my gift card and Supplemented the rest of my purchase with my paypal cash. It's nice cause now I can save up and write reviews myself with the toys I buy from Eden with the gift cards, but I always go over my gift card.

The gift cards help to purchase more expensive items, like the Lelo Mona I just purchased waiting for it to come in the mail. Eden has the best points program! If it wasn't for Eden I wouldn't have half the toys I have now not just because of the gift cards but because of the review program. it's awesome to hear another woman's (or man's) point of view of the toy to get a good idea of what your buying.

EF's not a charity, it's a business, and the day it can't make money by operating the way it does, it'll stop. Between the generous margins on adult products and the volume of sales that they do, I'm sure they're fine. Besides, the volume of content generated by users paid in points, which attracts regular customers, is far cheaper than if they had to pay employees by the hour to create it. Everybody wins.

I figure, they offer all this free stuff - they must know what they're doing, and be able to be successful regardless.

The fact that they're celebrating 10 years means they must be doing something right (:

I think it's fine, because you put in lots of hard work! I see it as EF "paying" you for helping them out. Kind of like a job, only you decide when you want to work!

If you've earned them, why not use them?

i have never spent a penny out of pocket on Eden Fantasys, all my orders are from Gift cards and points I earned from being mentor, video reviews, reviews, etc. I've done 119 reviews i think now

As of late I've been using gift cards almost exclusively. With some orders earlier this year I had a mix of gift cards/regular payments, but as I've been writing for EdenCafe/SexIs and regular points/reviews I've been very fortunate.

Like many others have said if EF weren't making money the points system wouldn't be as generous. I think that the company has a great plan in place as a businessman myself, they are offering gift cards in exchange for a wealth of content that brings traffic to the site and makes the site more inviting.

I agree. I can understand how people would feel "guilty", though. My last purchase included MANY free gifts, and it's the same feeling. My thoughts are that if EF wasn't making a big enough profit, they wouldn't offer these benefits.

Question do any of you feel guilty when ordering off the dollar menu link at a restaurant? Do you feel morally obligated to purchase a large drink with your order? If you don't there is no reason to feel bad about using EF points. It is no more my responsibility to worry about EF's profits when using points then it is for me to worry about McDonald's when ordering off the dollar menus.
