It depends...some friends I don't even let them look at my toys, let alone help pick out a new one! Others I like getting input from, but wouldn't turn them loose to get me something.

"Friend" is such a general term though...I would let my boyfriend (of over 8 years) go hog wild, but he knows specifically what I like and don't like! He also has some say when I am picking out products for review, mostly because he gets wrangled into using them too (my latest review was on a set of c-rings)!

Totally depends on the friend. Not only would I have to be close enough to them for them to even KNOW about my toys, I'd also have to know that they were good at picking out gifts in general. (Some people buy what THEY would like; the really good gift givers buy what the RECIPIENT would like.)
