I have never been in a situation that I needed to pay for sex but I have no problems with paying if thats what it took. I would be worried about diseases and I would definitely not want to have a children with someone that my sole relationship with was paid sex. And not that I am very informed on the issue but I think it should be legal, if it was the government would step in for their cut but that would make it safer for everyone involved right?

Alan & I have role-played the hooker scenario a time or two before too, and we've also played "stripper" from time to time with one another and thus had the G-string full of dollars. I keep the money.

As for my thoughts on the real pay-for-sex situations (those between strangers), I don't see a problem with it. I mean, aside from an exchange of money, what's the difference between someone picking up a one-night-stand at a bar or picking up a hooker? Makes no sense for one to be legal and the other not, as long as it involves consenting adults.

I selected “other” just because while I’ve never paid for sex there are three sexual fantasies that if I have to pay for it in order to live them out, so be it. Also, the more I think about the more likely it seems that I’ll wind up paying for it someday just because for one of those it actually seems to me like paying for it would be the easiest way to get it out of my system.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean it as rude. I can see how it could come across as offensive. I really didn't mean it that way. Inflection doesn't carry with font only.

I have never been paid, unless you count me doing certain things with J that I wouldn't usually do in exchange for shoe money (since we're married I don't count them though).

On a legal and political level legalizing such things would be greatly beneficial to the government. More taxes would be paid, so the gov't stands to make more money off it (although take into account the under the table activity that would continue and one can see why legalizing might not be the gov't's favorite idea. I do think if it were legal and sex workers could get health benefits it would be worth it all. Plus legalizing would most likely force people to take more precautions (ie Nevada).

I won't get into morality here because not everyone believes the same thing. If I think it is ok, there will be someone who doesn't, and vice versa.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with prostitution, provided all parties are in it willingly. I think legalizing it will do away with a lot of the dangers of it, but not all.

On the legalization issue, definitely think it should be legalized for the protection of all parties involved but we do not live in a society that would allow this and that isn't about to change any time soon. Quite unfortunate considering it is a personal choice and if it's between consenting individuals nobody should care. You're free to do as you like behind closed doors.

I wasn't paid in dollars, but rather a letter grade in a class. I begged a teacher to let me do anything to pass the class and boy did he take it and run with it. VieuxCarre: You shouldn't feel guilty. It's your teacher who should have been fired, unable to find a job teaching ever again, and jailed if you were underage.
