For me, it ebbs and flows. For the last eight months or so, I've been dating men almost exclusively, but for about ten years before that I only dated women. I think for me it's less about what you have in your pants, if you were born with what's in your pants, or if what's in your pants "matches" how you present yourself to the world than it is about finding a certain type of dynamic that works for me at any given time. The way I feel about myself is different when I'm with a woman than when I'm with a man be it socially, sexually, relationship-wise, what have you. Both can be good, it's all a matter of what feels the most "me" at the moment.
That doesn't touch on the crushes I've had on androgynous, genderqueer, and trans people. I've just never had the pleasure of dating any of those crushes.
