I am super bored at three in the morning and started trolling the Craigslist listing for women seeking women, I found a super cute one in my area and replied!

I have never done this before and am pessimistic about the result of this venture. Craigslist has always seemed a bit sketch to me : )

We don't have a Craiglist, over here, but we do have the normal sex/dating sites, and I thought about meeting up with some women on it, but didn't go through with it (because I met someone else before I met them).

I've never done it, but I have a friend who uses Craigslist all the time to find hookups. He's never gotten a relationship or anything from it, but he's never been looking for more than just a one night stand either.

Just be careful no matter what you're looking for!

I have yet to meet a woman that is interested in what I'm looking for (every one I've been in contact with is part of a couple), but I've had luck finding men (what a shocker, NOT LOL). I'm looking at other avenues for meeting women; someone recommended POF to me.

I've done it and had mixed results. One I found on Adult Friend Finder who is amazing in bed but isn't available as often as I'd like. I had one from Craigslist that was ok for a while but could not keep up with my sex drive. I also had a few one night stands which bugged me since that was not what I was looking for. I should point out though that I am hetro. I get the impression that it is alot easier for women to find men then men to find either because of porn bots and such but I am not sure on women finding women.

I've met men on craigslist where we'd email back and forth, meet a couple times, but none of them ever turned into anything...but they were all perfectly nice guys legitimately looking for someone, just not the right ones for me. So while I don't have an ultimate success story I don't really have anything negative to say either.

I have never done it but one of my friends has met people on craigslist. A few she had not been happy with but a few she had. Just like meeting people anywhere else, take the same factors into consideration. Do not lower your standards just because it's the internet. If you are not attracted to the person or if something strange seems to be going on, move on and use your head. Otherwise, everything should be fine

i send trollish messages to the guys who will pay $50 to lick feet and ask the details of such a proposition. they never respond.

i also try to get my fiance nude modeling gigs but they back out with "i don't like models who try to call the shots." right.

but i've never tried hooking up.

I've done it before and hooked up with another woman. I have also done it off of regular dating/sex sites. My last 3 boyfriends were from sites like POF and OKC, including the one I have been with for over a year.

Be careful though. I have set up hundreds of dates with people from sites like those and ended up cancelling at the last minute because something didn't feel right. One of the guys I was going to hook up with got arrested just after we had planned our date for luring women into his apartment and killing them. *yikes*

Just use good judgement and listen to what your intuition tells you =) Good luck!

OMG, that's insane!! I am so happy I didn't see this right after I said I would meet her... I would be panicing!
OK so we met today!!
She actually was super nice and really attractive! So, so far so good.
I was awkward and shy because I didn't expect such a cutie and had just gotten out of class (jeans and a old sweater lol). I am hoping she plans another meeting but if not it was at least an adventure!
I will keep this post updated on what goes down lol

I have not and would not just because in this day and age it's hard to trust people you don't know to go into a situation like this alone. Plus with the crazy people in the news that used that site to find "victims", yeah that would just make me stay off of that site. I'm not completely against using the internet for relationships, I mean I did meet my fiance through myspace (which neither of us have anymore) but we had mutual friends so I knew he wasn't a fake or some sociopathic nutball. It's your life, your call but personally I wouldn't do it.

I tried to use craigslist to find a third, but it was a no go for us. We are looking for the right kind of person and I am starting to think she does not exist. We want someone who wants to get to know us and then see if she fits in, we don't want someone who wants to jump right in bed. We want to go slow and learn things about someone and maybe have a Friend with benefits relationship, but it is not turning out like that. Plus we get a bunch of messages from couples wanting to swing or men who are being creepy, so we stopped Craigslist and are unsure what we are doing next.

We haven't used Craigslist to find someone but instead have spent agonizing years trying to be patient and finding the right person for us. Which we may have actually recently found, we'll see what happens.

I have not, but I have a male friend, who I'll label as bi-curious, who did hook up while he was on a business trip. Their experience was positive and very low key with mild interaction. I was a nervous wreck for him though. He was nervous too, but I think that was more from the experience factor than the personal safety factor. They've had a few email exchanges since then and hope to hook up again in the future when my friend goes back.

In the end, I agree with Oomph that you cannot judge a book by its cover, and it CAN be dangerous. So my advice to you is to tell someone that you are doing it so they know where and when you met up with this individual. In my friend's situation, I was so worried that I told him he had to communicate with me when the guy arrived and when he left. He said he greatly appreciated that concern, too.

I'm still with someone I met on Craigslist (1.5 years now), but there's a lot of sketch out there. You have to be smart. I've had some odd meet-ups but nothing happened too. Make sure you click first!
