When reading F/F erotica, how do you feel about a vagina being referred to as a, "cavernous hole?"

Contributor: sunflower sunflower
Phrases like that are why I don't normally read F/F erotica... Authors always use really weird terms for vaginas that are just turn offs.

I would die laughing and put the book down and walk away.

It's not a turn on for me to read or hear a vagina being referred to as a cavernous hole, it conjures images of something gaping and worn out, but some people are into that. It kinda goes with the term "gaping holes" in my mind, some people like it, some don't.

Where was the option for hysterical laughter?

It wouldn't be a turn on for me, would maybe ruin the mood for a moment.

It doesn't really offend me or anything, but it just feels so inaccurate. There are so many ways to describe a vagina, and that just isn't one of them.

LOL I will refer to mine as a cavernous maw as a FFXI reference joke. lol It's hilarious. But definitely not hot.

That's an F/F erotica most likely written by a man. (I am a man BTW) A woman would never call a vagina a "Cavernous Hole".

Haha, this is exactly how I feel.

It does sound insulting and as many have pointed out ; brings to mind a gaping worn out cave full of bats and spiders. Would offend me greatly if someone referred to my vagina as such.

cavernous hole - I think it's a horrible way to refer to our body and especially a part that brings us such pleasure like nothing in the whole world can.

It's not an appealing way to refer to it.....sounds angry, like it's full of bats or something...

C.. C... Cavernous? More like sticking your hand into an sea anemone. Or into a warm pile of dough. Not a cave, though. Nothing hard about a vagina. Nothing gaping about it, either, usually. Unless you're watching some weird porn.

I just imagine lots of tiny people walking around with flashlights and spelunking gear, it's very strange and too distracting

Oh man, no, not my thing. I don't read F/F, I like F/M or M/M best, but I wouldn't want to read about it referred to that way ever. o.0

That's actually a giant turn off to me. I just now got into reading erotica (thanks to the bf) and right now mine is a bi book. I've thought about writing erotica, though in the past, but I would never use that phrase. Ugh, it's nasty to think about, actually.
