We don't nearly as often as we should. We've done it before, but don't have a regular babysitter. If we did, I would gladly go at least once a week!

Every Friday we have dinner with our FREE FOR ALL speech friends. We then go to one our homes for dessert and can stay up till 2 or 3 am chatting about...ANYTHING (sex is 99%) and since we do our own PORN reviews, TOY reviews, etc, we always seem to have FRESH things to go over (besides also talking POLITICS, ECONOMY and some WORK STUFF...as many of us are in related fields). If we are not TOO exhausted and if the mood has been sparked, we usually have a nice sexathon when we get home. Sunday we always have dinner out and then a nice romp in the hay when we get home. Those are our two "date nights". NOW, however, we go DANCING, or DANCE LESSONS every Wed., and we go eat and then go home for nice sex after that too (while the laundry is getting done...seems to have replaced Sunday for that?). THOSE are thus our DATE NIGHTS. Since we are empty nesters, however, EVERY night is technically a DATE for us.

The kids moving up and out changes things for many people. Sometimes good, sometimes not.

STILL keep it up. We both put in over 60 hours to 80 hours of work...PER WEEK. We are both EARLY morning to late night professionals. Thank goodness, at this point we are both "the boss" and have WEEKENDS free to play, but for years we didn't have those either. No matter how busy you are...KEEP UP DATE NIGHT. Believe us, it is WORTH IT.

Find a sitter. In the long run it will just be the two of you one day, and you want those embers still HOT.

Our suggestion...work on it. We have been together 40 years now, and would NEVER think to have less then two or three "dates" a week!!!! We want to keep the same HOTS as when we WERE dating and I dare say we have NO PLANS to stop. WE keep adding "excuses" to spend time together, having recently added DANCE LESSONS and now going to DANCES together. VERY sexy.

We don't usually get a date night except on our anniversary. since my hubby works so much, he usually stays home and sleeps on the couch when he gets a day off.
Besides, we have 2 kids and nobody to watch our kids unless it is an absolute emergency.
