Do you like that holiday decorations/candy/spir it starts early?

So, that time of the year has rolled around again. Long sleeved sweaters, thick coats, hot chocolate, time with family and friends and.. Christmas candy during Halloween? Already?

So far this Fall, I've noticed that holiday spirit seems to start earlier and earlier each year..

I've always known of families and towns putting up Christmas decorations and lights the day after Thanksgiving, but if you think about it, that's having a Christmas tree up for a full month before it actually rolls around and comes time to open the gifts. I'm all about the holiday season, but I never really got why some families did that. I was walking around at Walmart recently and saw the day after Halloween, Christmas candy, decorations, and store promotions went up immediately. I was almost shocked, but then I realized, of course, these holidays make the economy swell and expand in good ways because people buy all this good stuff from stores.

So I was wondering if anyone else noticed how quickly stores and neighbors rush from holiday to holiday, almost as if the holiday is a month long celebration. I can see how it's a fun to make holidays that way, but I've heard some others state that it's really ridiculous. I can see the benefits of stocking up early and having things prepared beforehand, as well. My question is do some of you guys actually like it or get bothered by it? less
