Anyone actually eat and enjoy this? I've never tried it because the ones I've seen have looked kind of disgusting.

Every single year my mom makes it.
Every year she asks me to "try" it.
Every year, I remind her that I did try it, various times, and think it tastes disgusting.

I don't like fruitcake. I think there are only a dozen or so fruitcakes in the world that just keep getting regifted.

Oh man, my grandpa gives us fruitcake every year. Every year it sits in the fridge for a while til Dad gives in and eats it. LOL

I can't stand the taste of fruitcake. Back when I was a kid, my relatives love to give each other fruitcakes during the holidays, I've tried it and hated it on the spot! Sometimes I think people buy them just as a festive piece for the holidays, and throw it out when the season's over.

I'll eat my grandmother's fruitcake recipe and a few others. I will not eat fruitcake from most bakeries or major grocery stores.
