We've had a relatively warm winter, and it's not really cold out(-1 C/ 29 F) but the air feels very damp today which makes it worse. I walked home and coming across the bridge was brutal because the wind just whips down the river with no trees to stop it. I've been home for about an hour now, and still freezing. I'm sitting here under a blanket with a wool sweater, and on the verge of shivering. I was just thinking that somebody must have turned the heat down and I was about to go investigate when I saw this post.
Not so bad right now. Our winter is so mild this year. Most days its sitting around 32F or 0c. That is like a heat wave at this time of the year for me in Wisconsin.
Last year around this time there was a day with -42F wind chill and -25F Ambient temp. Now what was pretty cold. But anything over 20F is relatively warm for me in the winter.
Outside 32.3°F here in Chicago-land, of course it's nice and warm here on my couch. This morning and when I was out for lunch it was a bit warmer. I had the top down on part of my drive home from work today. That isn't really odd for me though, I rather enjoy the cold and I have a good car heater.
It's as cold as a witch's tit here in the UK. How cold are you?
While I feel 'fucking freezing' I understand that I'm really just 'cold'.
It's been a really mild winter here in my part of Massachusetts so I can suffer through a few cold days.
At least it's better than getting three feet of snow like last year.
This thread title makes me think of Bella Swan in "Twilight", always shivering when Edward Cullen is present, wonder how in the world can she have sex with a very 'cold' vampire?
Yeah, when I'm cold, the last thing I feel is sexy. I like snuggling, but that would quickly lose its appeal if the object of my snuggles made me colder.
At the moment, I'm comfortable. Chicago is having a warm winter and it's in the 40s today. We've had some cold days and snow, but nothing like we usually do.
I'm in Chicago right now but I'm from Breckenridge, CO where it gets to arctic cold temps during the winter. I've suffered through worse! I just wish my hands didn't get cold before anything else.
