What influence do you think your mother had on the sexual being that you are today?

My parents both made me more comfortable with the idea of sex, making it easier for me to manage it responsibly. And they (mom especially) made it easier for me to talk freely to others about sex. It's helping me give advice to one of my younger friends, who didn't get much education about sex from her parents.

My mom died when I was about 9 or so, so we never actually had a sex talk or anything like that. I remember she always read those romance novels and after she died and the family was going through her stuff I took a few of the books before they were taken to be donated. I liked reading them and I know most of my first fantasies were based on the "dirty" parts of those romance novels. I feel like her tastes in movies and romance novels kind of influenced some of what I like now since they were the first things I was really exposed to.

I'm a Scorpio (so is mum), so a huge sexual side is naturally built-in....lol.

My parents both talked to me about sex and we were always able to talk about it to an extent. I wouldn't ever go into details with them about my personal sex life, but they always made sure I was comfortable asking questions and they always made sure I knew how to be responsible. They done a great job and I'm glad we discussed it. So glad! It did make a difference in how I treated myself.
