Beatles. Who can ignore their sexiness?

Depends on my mood, I love both.

I answered The Beatles, and am on the Beatles side of this argument at the moment, but I do go back and forth a lot on this issue, perhaps every other year or so I switch sides. I think to say they're equally amazing isn't quite correct... the Beatles didn't make a bad album that I can think of off the top of my head, but The Rolling Stones, well... um, yeah. The Beatles were amazing with their imagery and metaphor but The Rolling Stones were less shy about being upfront and direct about some stuff (though they did make excellent use of metaphor/imagery too... for example, some people say "Under My Thumb" is a metaphor for a D/s relationship; "Mother's Little Helper" is, of course, about prescription drug abuse/addiction; etc). They've got their similarities and their differences and that's what makes them each special and unique and yes, amazing. It's hard for me to compare them though because I feel like I'm comparing apples and oranges... for instance, how can you compare a band that started off doing pop covers songs w/ a band that came from a more r&b background? Again, let me reiterate, apples and oranges. I love them both with immense passion, but I don't think I'll ever entirely be able to choose, though that doesn't mean I'd necessarily choose the phrase "they're both equally amazing" to describe how I feel about them in comparison to each other. That is, when forced to compare the two. Now, let's move on, shall we? Anyone up for a good Bangles vs. Go-Gos debate? ;P

What are you a fan of? And are you a fan of any 60s British invasion bands? What, are you one of those guys who chooses the Who or the Kinks when asked this question? I KID! I KID! Seriously though, you've sparked my curiousity... what do you listen to?

Great band! I used to have this uber-rare import of theirs. It was amazing. I wish I knew what the eff happened to it.

Seen 'em twice. Once in '94 and once in '08 (or '09)? They knocked my socks off both times. I cannot believe the energy Mick Jagger has for a man his age. And the seats we had for the second show... AMAZING! Regardless of my current Beatles/Stones stance (atm, I'm a Beatles girl, but I flip flop every other year or so), I do have to say they're definitely in my top 5 live bands list (and I've literally seen hundreds of bands live).

I can go for that. Nothin' wrong with a little rockabilly. Plus anyone who recorded for Sun Records (generally speaking) is alright in my book. So, the big question here is: do you have a pair of blue suede shoes?

Oh, wow. I'd love to work in a record store if the field weren't so male-dominated where I live. And to see McCartney live... that must've been something. Lucky woman!

So, if you're not really a fan of either, what kinds of music are you into? What artists/bands do you like? Just curious.
