The series will be about his time as a psychiatrist, before Red Dragon and the Silence of the Lambs (so, pre-capture). Mads Mikkelsen (who played Le Chiffre in Casino Royale) will be playing Hannibal.

I never heard of the show before. We don't have cable so that would be why. Sounds cool though! I love the movies!

I LOVED the books when they first came out, but I generally avoid any and all TV spinoffs. The way I see them is this: a movie is (generally) pretty much a work of art. A TV version is just something TV networks make to cash in on movies' popularity.

So no, I didn't watch it tonight and won't be in future

Llamas and chianti! Maybe, I'm not sure. I've watched the first few episodes of Bates Motel and am still on the fence about it, so I might give this one a shot.

I was unable to watch it last night, because my DVR was recording Elementary and Scandal at that hour; Xfinity only allows us to view/record two shows at a time! I hope NBC will add Hannibal to their On Demand list, so I can catch up later.
