I'm really really glad to see harry potter fans out there, i was beginning to feel like the only one. Why does twilight have to win all the awards, I seriously get disappointed watching award shows. I hate twilight and my sister loves it, and vise versa. I lose a bunch of money at those award shows lol

I said "Harry Potter" but I feel I should elaborate, since I haven't finished the HP series yet. So far, though, I like it much better than Twilight. Then again, I doubt that I could dislike a series any more than I do the Twilight series. They disgust me on so many levels, and not just because they're poorly written.

Never have I watched Twilight nor am I interested in it. Die hard HP fan since day one I even got my boyfriend into the movies! We can't wait for the last one to come out next month.

I love both. I used to read Harry Potter to my son every night when he was little.
Twilight reminds me of my high school days. My son is now 16, and he has the whole book and DVD collection of both series.

Neither. Both are poorly written and have no depth whatsoever. I read the first three Potter books and lost complete interest. As for twilight... well lol. i won't even go there.

Well, that's where you start to gain depth in the series. The first two books are a little fluffy, three starts to gain depth, but you don't actually get into the meat of the story until you get into four and five.

I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, but between the two, I'd definitely take it over Twilight.

I don't have an issue reading about unhealthy relationships, but I prefer it when the narrative and the author both acknowledge that the relationship is unhealthy.

I hate Twilight, and I'm allowed to because I read every single book and they are all a load of crap. Bella needs to put on her big girl pants, grow a personality, and learn to laugh. Harry Potter was my generation's childhood, and an incredible series to grow up with.

I liked Twilight, but LOVED Harry Potter. There is so much more depth to the world and story in HP. I do agree with others, the two really shouldn't be compared as much as they are. They are not the same type of story, even though they both fit into some similar genres and are both YA.

I can not believe that any one can actually compare the Twilight to harry Potter. I refuse to watch even one Twilight movie, but I did read the first book to give it a fair chance. Harry Potter is so well written, even the first ones that were geared towards younger children.
