Generally I'm not a fan of remakes because they just try to rehash something which was perfectly good the first time. If they wanted to take something that was garbage originally and make it into something good, then I'd be all for it.

I don't like remakes because I'm constantly comparing it to the original. Take Sabrina for example and in black in white, it was unmistakably far better than the one in color.

I've seen great modern remakes of movies that originally sucked (it's a series, but Battlestar Galactica!) and remakes of great older movies that totally flopped (ugh, Manchurian Candidate from 2004)
