sims 2 was great, but i've heard iffy things about sims 3. they say you can't control the sims the same way and it's rather boring. too much emphasis on how to build a character and not enough on having fun with the characters.

I am such a huge fan of the Sims 2 that I figured I'd love the Sims 3. I was wrong. o_O I'm not...really sure what I don't like about it, but it's just not the same for me. Of the expansion packs for TS2, my favourites are Pets and Seasons, mainly because I like to watch my Sims "oooh" and "ahhhh" over rain. *L*

Sims Nightlife! Or was that Sims 2?
I find the character development to be better in Sims 3, but I find it to be too tedious sometimes. I was wildly addicted to Sims 2, I loved the Nightlife and Business packs.
For Sims 3 I liked World Adventures, although there are a few very annoying bugs (like the quest message board). I could spend hours exploring 1 crypt or tomb!
