Eh. I thought the movie was alright, but being the picky person I am about details, I wasn't that crazy about it to say that it was on par with the book or even better. It was enjoyable at least. But I liked the book much, much better.

I saw it a few weeks ago, and it was wonderful! I am just now starting to read it, and so far, I'm very happy with the writing style and the story, and after seeing the movie, I am super excited that there are sequels to the book. I really want to find out what happens.

I enjoy this heroine very much. I think she is an excellent role model for the target demographic. Far, far superior to Bella, who was written for the same group; she makes me want to strangle snails. You really feel empowered by Katniss's choices and attitude, and it's a great feeling to walk around with!

I am a big fan of Jennifer Lawrence, especially after seeing Winter's Bone, and I feel she played the strengths that the characters both share incredibly well. The makeup and costumes are FABULOUS, and I felt like the movie helped clue in someone like me who hadn't read the book.

My thing was I read the books and didn't like them that much I kept hearing how the movies followed the books really well, so my mind said why waste the money when you hated the book.
