Alternate to shaving

Contributor: Tart Tart
Any suggestions? I have always shaved my pussy and now I have moved into a new place with a tiny shower stall. Some days I can't even reach it let alone shave it. Waxing is a bitch, and I'm leaning towards an electric shaver. Any yays or nays? Any advice would help.

Thanks!

I do an electric shaver to trim, and I usually do that sitting on the toilet, as it's just less mess. Honestly though I don't even like to shave in the shower. I usually take a shower first and then sit on the edge of the tub and shave the area just because I can see better when I'm sitting down. Since that's not an option with a shower stall..what about showering first to get the hair wet and ready but then afterwards sitting down on the toilet and doing it there. You can have a bowl of warm water to dip the razor in to rinse it between strokes. I've done this before and it actually works better since I can get a better angle and more light this way.

Using an electric razor for the whole thing would be ok if you don't mind stubble. For me it will start to itch more that way, and I prefer to use an electric razor for the top on a 1 to get it down really short, but then follow up with a regular razor for the bikini line and the underneath areas so that it's smooth there.

I use an epilator. It hurts but it lasts a lot longer than shaving and is cheaper and more convenient than waxing. I've used an electric shaver before but it didn't give me a very close shave.

I trim. I'm not much of a shaver. It makes me nervous to shave around my lady bits. :/

eeep you are tougher than I am. I think using an epilator was more painful than anything else I've tried.

Nah, not really. I only need to use the trimmer once every week or so and then just keep up with it with a regular razor and it doesn't take long if it's kept up with. Maybe 3-5 minutes? I don't go crazy with it or anything.

I've started using bkini by personarazors. They work amazingly for a dry shave and leave the skin super smooth whilst also preventing you from cutting yourself. The most amazing shaving product I've ever come across

What kind of epilator are you using. I am shopping for a good one and could use some advice.

I use this Magic Powder mix (but a friend said they have it in a cream now too). Just apply and then shower off. I love it.

Epilators are painful but worth it if you can stand the pain. I like the models by braun.

Magic Powder

It's what a black friend of mine uses on his face. His wife (who is white) uses it on her girly stuff. She said it helps with regrowth because *his* hair comes in really curly and kinky and can sometimes cause bad bumps. She figured she'd give it a try because she had been having similar problems with shaving.

She did and it worked WONDERS. Now I use it and it lasts about 3 days on me and that's RARE. I've never had any bumps or anything.

Love it.

That sounds great, but I'd worry about getting it on the sensitive skin of the inner labia, etc... It's the reason why I don't use Veet or Nair down there, because of irritation.

I use an electric that gets very close. It's pretty much as smooth as a razor (if I do a good job) the first day, but the second day there is slight stubble. No ingrown hairs or issues with sensitive skin though.

I used to use nair, but now I just trim. I won't use an electric razor near my lady bits. That just scares me.
