Have you ever stayed at a Bed and Breakfast? What did you think? Is it better than a hotel? More expensive, less?

I've been to two, one was a tiny little family owned place and the other was a chain. Both were nice, and it depends on the area and the place in general, as to the cost to be honest.
Now, when you ask if it is better than a hotel, I am assuming you don't mean MOTEL, right? Because hotels are more extravagant and to be honest I like those more than a bed and breakfast, but I like a bed and breakfast more than a motel.

I haven't been, but i live down the road from one. After perusing their menu online I can concur that their food is expensive as are their rates. Basically it's a gamble for whether or not the ambiance justifies the cost.

B&B's just seem pretty freaky to me. Especially if you're planning to have sex while you're vacationing or whatever you're at the B&B for. I rather be at a hotel, less of a chance of having paper-thin walls.
