They are not pets.
To say "not be wild and would love me" or whatever is to make a large cat not the same animal.
The thought of a domesticated lion or tiger or whatever is SAD, not "neat" or "cool! I want one!"

I wouldn't get one, because to keep one properly you need a huge amount of outdoor space, plus the budget to be able to feed one properly and the training and knowledge to know how to work with them.
On the whole, I'm opposed to the keeping of big cats as personal pets, but there are times when one simply can't be returned to the wild, for one reason or another (declawing, for example - and yes, that has happened). In these cases, I'd hope they either end up in a good zoo or with someone with the money, time, and resources to properly care for them.
Now, if we're talking in a more fantasy-type setting wherein the big cat would actually act more like a domestic animal and the care requirements were more easily met, then I'd get a tiger or a snow leopard. But obviously, only in fantasy-land.

I don't like the idea of having very dangerous pets! I'm scared enough of everything as it is, I don't need scary stuff inside my home on purpose! lol

I wouldn't get one. No matter how awesome they are, I'd just volunteer or get a zoo career so I could be close to them.

Ever since I was a kid I have wanted a big cat. I have read about them and known people who owned them for circuses. They are amazing and I totally respect them. You must use caution, but I would still have one in a heartbeat if I could provide it a good home. Preferably I'd keep them till they were young adults and then release them to a zoo or sanctuary. Rehabilitating an abused or hurt big cat would be very rewarding too! It'd be better if they were able to be domesticated to avoid the risk of course.
