I think the staring is what scares me. And speaking to a large group of people. I don't even talk when I'm with a group of my friends.

I used to go to city hall meetings to voice my opinions to a large crowd, and I don't have a problem doing it.

Not really. As long as I really know my subject it does not bother me. I was painfully shy until I got a job bartending, many many years ago.

Yes...I speak really, really fast and usually drink beer beforehand. Thank god I've graduated and don't have to deal with presentations anymore.

In high school and briefly in college I competed on the speech team. I enjoy everything about public speaking except the preparation.
