Do you like yard sales?

I enjoy garage sales but this past summer I think I only went to two of them

I wouldn't say other people's stock is rubbish, but I don't find car boot sales particularly interesting.

I love looking thru other people's stuff! hahahaaa.. And you never know what kind of goodies you may find!

I get in trouble because lots of cheap stuff = IMPULSE BUYING

I did when our kids were really little. I got some baby clothes, (NO stuffed animals. The last thing I wanted was bed bugs.) and hard toys, but not too many.

I did end up getting some good deals on real Tupperware. I also bought a beautiful huge wicker basket that we use to transport things all the time. I bleached it, washed it, spray painted it and use it for the County Fair (when we enter a lot of stuff) and for the Holidays.

Now, I'm trying to de-clutter my life. If I go to garage sales (as we call them in Chicago) I will buy junk and clutter my house and my life more. I stay away from them.

When I did go, I would go a village or two over, where the rich people live. They get rid of better stuff.

I don't actively seek them out too often, but I do enjoy going to them and rummaging through other people's stuff to find a couple things I like. There are certain things I wouldn't buy at a garage sale, but there are lots of random things that are great finds that you can only get cheaply at something like this.

I think yard sales are fun at times but I dont buy much stuff if I buy anything at them

I wouldn't say that I go to them as often as I can, but if I'm wandering by one in the summertime and it looks interesting I'll often stop. I've found some neat things over the years. I'm not obsessive about it though by any means.

I've tried to organize yard sales before and they never really end up happening. I prefer clothing swaps actually!

Not a regular visitor, but have been to a few...would never do one on my own..too much work!
