Do you object to pink hair?

Awww that's amazing! I can't imagine most guys NOT supporting keeping breasts healthy. For goodness sake even if you don't personally care for breasts you have a mother, sister, best friend, Aunt, or Grandmother, right? What a cool way of showing support!

I see your point on that for sure. I also notice a lot of "breast cancer support" that actually doesn't support anything but attention for oneself. Not this situation, but a lot of them like the things on Facebook where everyone begs you to post your underwear in detail to "support breast cancer" but the rule is not to let the men know what's going on so that they're curious about our undies. That is not cool and it does not support breast cancer in the least! Lol.

But hair color for any reason is a petty thing to be against rules at schools, work, etc. Like someone else said, it's like nail polish! Hell, it's like eye color... sort of. I mean, if you can't have pink hair, why allow you to have the contacts that alter your eye color? Hmmm!

Lol. I think there are far more important things to complain about than fun colors

OMG! Holy mother of pearl, I think we ARE the same person! Lol. I totally didn't even see your post here until I last posted about the contacts. Wow, girl, great minds REALLY DO think alike!

I have pink in my hair now, so of course not! I do agree that the parents should have told the school what was going on beforehand. Schools can be hard on appearance rules. Since this was for a cause, explaining up front may have saved some of the trouble.

Object? ...hell, I'd join them if I could.
I mean it's not like they're doing it to piss off the teachers or to distract their classmates, they're doing it to show support to a great cause.
They ought to be getting nods of approval instead of punished.

The fact that boys are dying their hair pink for that reason is quite possibly the sweetest thing I've heard all week. ^_^

I actually love the younger people supporting a cause, They should be applauded. The school's need to get off of their control kick!!

I don't object, it's a good cause the kids were supporting, but rules are rules regardless of how stupid the rules are.

To each his own. I won't be dying my hair pink and I wouldn't allow my children to. There are other ways to support the cause.

I love brightly-colored hair. I've always been a little nervous to dye my own, since it's a really dark brown, but I think it looks great on other people!

I think it's awesome, but not in school/ work if you KNOW there is some rule against it. It wouldn't have flown over well at my traditional boring school or even where I work now.

Unfortunatly I had a family member that was diagnosed and didn't survive breast cancer. It is a great cause and I don't understand why people would object to one dying their hair etc to support what they believe in. Today's society is just too uptight about the little things and for some reason can't see the big picture. Truely sad...

I think this is dependent on the school demographic. Many schools discourage public displays such as this because it frequently relates to gang affiliation. Although administrators may support the students intentions, they must enforce rules for everyone objectively.

I love pink hair and I've dyed mine that color several times. I'm all for it, whether it's in support of family members of friends with cancer or not.

I used to dye my hair all kinds of colors when I was young--but it was permitted at my school. It should have been discussed beforehand with the principal or something--rules or rules, even stupid ones, and when you blatantly break them, there are consequences.

I love it when people dye their hair. Pink is cute, I am a huge fan of black myself (Big Betty Paige fan here!)

As someone with pink hair, I can not and will not object. It's just dead cells, they can do whatever they want to it.

I don't see an issue with it I have dyed my hair black and bleached out streaks and dyed them pink! Not for a cause but because I wanted to I don't see what the big issue is I mean this may offend some when I say this but I am not trying to. So what about those who go an get weave done with colors in it? In school they never got things said to them and nothing was ever said about the crazy up dos and what not, however if we came with permanently dyed hair we got in trouble. I really don't see the difference between adding fake hair to your head and dying your natural hair whatever color you wish. I see nothing wrong with it, I actually think its awesome so many kids banned together including the guys to dye their hair pink!

I totally support it for breast cancer..
But also for any other reason. I've had almost any color you can think of in my hair. Not completely covered, but a portion. Either my bangs, or the under layer.
